There should be a command, (maybe there is?) that creates a dome of whatever size you want that deletes any terrain outside of it to limit how far people can go and lift pressure off server.

there are plugins that can limit how far a player can wander off by placing an invisible barrier.
that obviously won't do much good with already explored areas . there are several ways to delete chunks afterwards but they don't necessarily work in a visual way, so you can't really see what you are deleting and whether or not someone built something there. (it's more work than it's worth to check)
maybe we'll see a plugin that limits exploration and several others if or when the server gets reset.
I'm one of the adventurers that went (very) south. I went in search of ZacD's massive cave. Which I found. And it is massive. But I found something far more impressive. The landscapes the biomes create is EPIC! Over every horizon its like..."WHOA!...awesome..."
I ventured a little further south of Zac's cave and found The Land that Time Forgot. Huge plataeu's above the clouds with waterfalls dropping from the top. Its awesome. And having flowing water above sea level, nevermind in the clouds, is rare.
The new biomes was introduced to encourage venturing to far away lands. And I can see why now. But I do understand that this is going to have an effect on the server. So...
Can we please reset the server map? I know people are asking to wait till the MP updates are fully working. But the sooner we get the new biomes working around spawn the better I say. There is no point keeping the map we have until then.
Heres a very small portion of the land that time forgot.
P.S. ZacD. You left a shit load of smelting metal down here.
EDIT: Does everyone else get this glitch on loading up a map. This is a natural cave system near Zac's big cave. Pretty cool glitch eh.

It's for a new game I'm making where everyone mines into it and looks for the hidden chest. But there will also be fake ones ^^

This is a call to everyone, if you have any unwanted materials like stone, sand, gravel, anything then feel free to donate it somewhere. I'll make a box near my water ride house.
Go to the map, look for a long pathway that goes to the left. Follow it until you see a castle in a spring like area. It used to be easy to spot cause I placed all the flowers next to it but I thought the spawn sucked. So I spent a day literally replacing the ground and made stone pathways and the next day to my surprise people were making a town. That made my day.
Anyway next to the castle is a large lake. I started building it in the middle. My plan is to fill up a 64x64xhoweverhightheskyis with all blocks I can find. Then I'll start placing water, lava, chests and seal it all up. Then one day people can all mine into it at once and race each other for the hidden chest of all my riches
Habboi I have to say I love your castle and road. I explored the mines and went on an epic two hour expedition through a newly discovered cave system. So much fun haha. I'm now extending your path and having a great time just exploring.
Hah that makes me smile. The mines I built that castle on top of are huge. When I think I've gone everywhere a simple removal of a block or two and I discover a new dark room.
Funny enough that path was built by someone else. When I first joined I just extended it as a way of...trolling? I thought it would be amusing. Turns out it took me to strange lands and that was the most fun I had (besides making the water tunnels). Actually that water tunnel I made should be a randomly generated occurance when new land is created. It'd make exploring it more awesome.
I take it your responsible for all the random holes in the lake that lead to awesome mines? They're great going down but going up just takes waaaay too long. Still fun though.
Yeah the exploring aspect has to be the part I love the most about the game, you just never know what you're going to find.
I just wish I could smelt my iron I collected. The furnace seems to take my charcoal but not actually give me any of the iron.

YES! That was the most annoying thing about multiplayer for me... Also mine carts work in MP now, so we need to make an awesome roller coaster.

I needed it to avoid having no centralized (easy to remember) place where I can keep it updated and instantly show what it's about.
I'm a bit curious to see how it can affect people wanting to try it out rather than "here's a zip, see if you like it"

I replanted all the trees in the tree farm - and added a new section.
The whack-a-mole bug with the server lag is making mining pretty tough though. Some blocks take five goes to dig up.
