I'm on realm.worldofterra.com. I've started constructing a massive tree fort elvish city. It's gonna be sick! Mods are very active and ban griefers fast. There's also a survival mode portal in the world that takes you to a new world that's survival only. The main world doesn't have monsters and gives you free blocks to work with.
I need help... I have a shelter for the nighttime to protect myself from mobs and I have a door no windows.... and for some reason when I sleep I get waken up by an attacking zombie or archer.... why does this happen and how (if so) is it preventable?
Have you put a torch or two inside? Monsters spawn in the dark so you have to light up your safe haven
Me and my brother didn't have flint or coal, now we do so when I get back on im gonna make some are temporary shelter is out of wood planks would it burn down? lol. ( We are saving a lot of resources in our chest until we can make a more sturdy one)
@ Xoliul Did you install the update/patch? Minecraft Beta 1.5 is out since a few hours, added achievement system, statistics and weather simulation (yeah, it's awesome, haha!).
If you haven't and nothing changes, I would suggest to download it again from minecraft.net

But seriously, viewdistance in a game this simple shouldn't bring my beastly workstation to its knees...

There's a demo out now. You can play about an hour and a half then you are no longer able to interact with the world but you can still walk around. After that you can reset the world and play another hour and a half, reset, play 1.5 hours, reset, ect...
