ok, i did a complete rundown. nothing happened to the inside of the base. the water on the outside is the only damage. its weird though it feels like the base is higher now....either that or the ground all around it is way lower.
Yeah it just confuses me since I have been spamming this thread with my minecraft stuff for some time now, so I didn't register the question as being about the icons or stuff, which in that case.. yes?..
whitelist would be cool. even if it was 30 people you would know that one of those 30 people griefed. and you can guess with certainty that it wouldnt be like 90 percent of the people here.
I must say thats why I have migrated to another server, because while I love to build with you guys, I just can't be bothered to build in a server just to visit it next day and see half of it missing and the other half covered in lava. Rather stick with a server with whitelisting and mods.

Whitelisting is the oposite if blacklisting, so instead of having a list of who cant join the server, the server has a list of who CAN join it.
I suggest the server has a build-list though, where everyone can join, but only whitelisted people can build or remove stuff.
Yeah, that would work, just make it so default players only have the power to watch and walk, and then accepted players gets some more powers, like mining, building, and mods that can use all blocks (such as lava/TNT ect). Plenty of mods for that. Just avoid McAdmin (no reference to me) because the developer seem to be a bit of a narcissistic dick.

I remember seeing a mod where someone could claim a small section of land as their own and build/mine in it, but it could raise some problems. Especially as one variation forces you to pay coal/flint/iron for it, and one even requests 1 diamond gem per 10x10 area
Just read about the new Hardcore mode coming to survival. That's good news for me because that's how I've been playing lately (deleting the world if I did). What I discovered? It's not a problem because I never die anyway. Looking forward to it though.
so, damage is added and sorta working (you turn invisible when you die - reconnect fixes it). guess it's time to decide on resetting the world to experience the fancy wonders of survival or continue playing on the current map.

Yeah. I vote reset. My lava castle is now the most hazardous place on the map. Died intantly when I entered the server. I think a reset is over due anyway to get biomes working around spawn.
set your difficulty to anything other than peaceful to see the mobs. i think normal is the default for servers
do not log out when you died. respawn before logging out. if you log out while dead you will stay dead for the server and wont be able to do anything.
don't wear armor because when you die with armor on the same thing will happen.
Deleting your .dat file in the player folder of the world save directory fixes the issue. supposedly.
