It's funny you say that, because I would actually LOVE to make some stuff for Left 4 Dead, but Source is a fickle, fickle woman when it comes to making custom content.
sorry snowfly but you are making fanboys out of everyone, it's really been great to see how far you've come since last i looked at your work. great stuff.
Dayumn, Snowfly, I feel like it's been forever since I last saw work from you... this piece is BLOWING MY MIND! That's amazing. I really love the ideas for the characters and the designs. Holy crap. Holy crap. Holy crap!
Shaders are way off (especially on shoes and hair) and helmet hair. Apart from that it looks decent. Looks alot like Christian Bale (or did I miss a Bateman joke here?)
@e-freak - The head and shoes are yet to receive a spec map. Right now it's just using source's default spec solution. Everything is still very much wip.
@Shiv - I still am going to add hair planes on the head to produce a restless feel for the hair. From what I can see in the movie. His hair comes off it's comb balance and dangles a bit off-side. I'll post a new one when it's finished
so yeah... what kind of preview is that? you say "in" source engine, i didn't know you could accurately preview outside of compiling the model and placing it in a map or something
Asteric, I think it looks great! If you're going for a new sort of look, it looks spot on. Would be interesting to see it beat up more. Scratches, wear on the edges. Very cool, though.

edit: fixed glossmap. Next, env reflection
P.S. Delirium is definitely my favourite.
Snowfly, are they from Sandman? Awesome stuff!
achmedthesnake: Everything there is mostly zbrush. The hair was done in "wedges" so each part is individual.
here is some fun with particles and a shit ton of experimenting.
a more realistic setup, with the odd little glowing yellow guys, those were just another experiment:
and here is more of an animated/pixarish look:
Snowfly, aren't you supposed to be colour blind? Because those are some tasty colours.....

very nice. very realistic look to it. i like the materials
Pretty sucky, but im trying to get better.
check it out...
also, i only just now realized that Bateman is suspiciously close to Batman? the fuck is wrong with christian bale
It's a fan concept based on the Mass Effect 2 world.
-Woog
Background looks a bit distracting though
Looks awesome, but a little too saturated to me to look realistic. Unless that is what you are going for.
There's still a lot of things I plan to do for the model, I'll keep what you said in mind.
Why is the grip narrower than the frame? That looks like it'd be really uncomfortable to hold.
