Hi all I'm not character artist, but it was really interesting and difficult. I was inspired by my favourite music band Dimmu Borgir. So decided to create Metal Guitarist \../_ >:) _\../ more screens here https://www.artstation.com/artwork/qBV0R
Latest practice work. Learned a tone while doing this. That makes me most happy. More images can be found on Artstation: https://www.artstation.com/artwork/9zoLO
Face close up....still not happy with the eyes....need more tinkering.
Also don't mind the eyebrows...will make new ones when I'm gonna make
the new hair.
Still slowly working on this dude. I'm trying to make the cloth work before adding more stuff, but I've got some fun stuff planned for this one. I feel like with the tools I have retopo and posing will both be absolute hell, though.
Here's a sci-fi helmet project I'm working on. Currently getting close to finishing the modeling in Blender before I move into Substance Painter for texturing.
I've been wanting to do a real-time helmet for a while but rather than a render that just hangs in space it felt like an opportunity to wrap some narrative around it. Hence the duct-taped pack of smokes and a cigarette still burning in a hastily fashioned / jerry-rigged cigarette aperture.
I've finished normal and AO bakes on the helmet and cigarettes. Still working on the high-poly base, hoses, ashtray and additional cigarettes. Hopefully this feels like someone has quickly discarded the helmet. C & C very welcome!
Here's a Sketchfab of the baked normals and AO on the main helmet:
