Phew, hair is tedious! He's pretty much done. Will give him a little pose and some expression before I call it all done. If I find I have time left on my course, I'll try my hand at texturing him too
Quick image update of my current character model.
Pretty much finished now just a few fixes to do, I wanted to create a demon boss style character and I am fairly happy with it. Looking for some last minute feedback/ suggestions before I draw a line under it as complete .
Doing final renders and fixes over the next few days.
Nice one. I'd get rid of the sharpening and tone down the dof and get rid of the background if i were you though, it's hurting the piece.
Also maybe the sand/dust on the back of the engines is too much taking away from the really nice contrast in the original design? Just my 2 cents
chrisundrum & ErikNilsson : thanks fellas. @chrisundrum : yeah you're right about the back. It's pretty empty there, I guess I'll try to add something.
First pass of a trim sheet I'm working on, single 1024, used a looooooot of WoW goblin reference. Gonna unify the textures a bit and take them further.

Really kickin man!

Freaking awesome
It's a quite simple model but I am sure I will enjoy to texture it. Old loco graveyard coming.

Looks awesome but i would remove the background to help sell the size. at the moment it looks like a toy..... but very well made and awesome toy
Great material definition. now just having him with some cool logo decals on his back, or a panel. something to break up the back.
@BenKeeling
those pod racing renders are insane! such a great model. And great attention to detail. Be pretty sweet to 3d print that!
@Pisciel
Ha love the bill murray bust. Knew it was him before seeing his name at the bottom.
