Nice satellite. Would make an excellent sub-d project.
I was mucking around in UDK as I wanted to see if I could make my kobra red dot cycle through the four patterns it has in real life. Having never used kismet before now I'm happy I got it figured out; but I'm sure someone could point out a simpler way to do the same thing. All good practice nevertheless.
The four patterns are in the one texture and are set to be on/off from scalar parameters, which afaik are the only material value you can change with kismet.
And then in kismet I just use counters to cycle through the patterns based on a key press. Would've been simpler with only three patterns.
Happy New Year's Polycount! This year will be full of studies for me, including a refresher on foundations. Here's an oil painting I did tonight after watching the "How to Mix Colors" tutorial from drawmixpaint.com:
Working on my first UDK level for uni. Its meant to be a 1vs1 deathmatch map. We could use the stock assets if we wanted to but that wouldn't proove much so I'm making everything myself.
Guandao for Legion Commander, This is for the CNY DOTA2 Contest. I think the details may be too small for the camera angle in game. but enjoyed working on this.
Happy New Years everyone! I saw Scott Homer's bikes a while back and absolutely loved them so I decided to do a bike for fun over the holidays. Here is a few images as well as a 360 turntable for your viewing pleasure
@ larolaro : Been a fan of your arts for a long time now, and I am really keen to see what you get up to with Zbrush. Good luck It is a daunting program but once you start to get comfortable with it it is so much fun.
There are many reasons for me to re-post this in the WAYWO 2014 thread... so here we go.
@ Zoid : Thanks so much for the eye suggestion. It was so good I could not ahh.. not do it
Good luck everyone, I am pretty keen to see what rad arts 2014 has in store for us.
I've been lurking on polycount for the last year now, I mostly keep to the workshop sections, but it's a new year, lets try something different. I rig and animate things, and this is what I'm currently working on. Thank you
Just finishing up on my Nightforce scope for Arma III.
Is this for Make Arma Not War? I've been considering doing that but it seems getting assets into Arma 3 isn't the easiest thing. If you have any advice you're willing to share I'd be grateful; perhaps you could use this thread to do so.
Maybe if the competition rules allow it some polycounters would like to group up to create a bundle of assets? Just a thought.
Well i decide to fix the LP so that it was more FPS friendly. and tweaked the HP a bit too. not to mention my uv's a packed more efficiently now. 7843 Tris.

Cheers! Happy New Year!
4k polys and 2k maps, it'll have 3 LOD variants as well.
I decided to play around with a head model and bring it into keyshot. I'm sure I'll turn it into something at somepoint.
