PitelinM weird that you stop.. I really like it so far.. the only thing I can tell is that your head/skull might be a little deformed, but I'm no character artist
Hey, don't give up on this. It's looking really good so far. All it needs is a few tweaks to the proportions and I think and you've got yourself a really nice start. I think he looks a little squat right now, could be solved by extending the legs. Also, it's hard to tell from the screenshots you've posted, but his left, armored arm might be bulked up more, from the concept his forearm is giant with all the armor bits.
But don't quit, it's a really good start!
Thank for your feedback guys. Really appreciate this. For the moment his head is more like a placeholder, I was going to finish it later. Anyway, now you might convinced me to continue
This is my Night Elf glaive launcher from when BlizzardFest was going on. Some stuff came up and I couldn't finish it but I'm coming to a close on it soon.
@ Tepico -- wtf, how long did that take? what's your method?
Here is a simple breakdown of how the scene is built. I used one terrain piece that was copied a few times and some good photo sourced images for the sky Took around 6 hours to put together (was reusing trees from previous project)
somehow just looking at this makes my wrist hurt - the position just looks really unhealthy to me, I'll check some references and reply to oyur thread if I find out what exactly it is
Hi, this is my first post. This what I've been working on lately for a school project. I had to texture a Alien head. The model was provided by Ryszard Klimczewski.
Finished these awhile ago, but now that the game I made these for is in early access on steam, I can show these guys! ๏ฟผ These were done for a top down turn based strategy game.
They're supposed to be really small on screen but I made them all at a much higher resolution because It wasn't decided at the time if they would show up much larger on another screen. In the end the extra work wasn't used so I didn't get the chance to do a final polish pass. But here they are in their full rez so I don't feel as bad about it. :P I Had a blast doing these.

I have not posted in a while and have been lurking, but even though I do not focus on characters, I had to come out of the lurk to say this, these characters are dripping with style and aesthetic, I absolutely love these guys, amazing work.
My first time posting here, and looking at the stuff motivates me so much :DD At my first year of Games Art at The University of Hertfordshire, and I want to see how much I can progress in my 3 years!
Hitman Inspired 1911, case was made for presentation purposes. I wanted to ground it in an environment, but I know some people may feel like the brick is distracting, so that's why there is a render without it.
Created a skin pores brush that will let me sculpt the pores with a sense of direction. Pretty simple brush, but I'm happy with it and I want to share it for anyone to use
The only setup needed is to go to the Alpha menu and set H Tiles -> 2
hewitt96 Looks good. Does it repeat obviously when tiled? And does it look good upside-down? Grass I find often looks better if it's not growing in just one direction, so it's convincing from more angles.

there's a lot of bloom going on and some heavy aliasing.. might be a good idea to make the screenshots in a higher resolution and then downsize them

This looks really great. I like when more unrealistic design is combined with realistic lighting and shading. Good job!
thanks for looking!

Is the axe head supposed to read as stone or metal? Currently it looks like stone.
It's made of stone, or at least that's the idea

Been trying to get a hang of the new materials in Unreal 4 the result is this:

I'm going to leave this guy as he is for a while, I don't have to guts to do a low poly.

Thanks for the crit mate. I am correcting it as we speak.
By the way you mean the strength of the light with "blown out" right ?
Still have a lot more work to do. First time trying out making a model from scratch from a Zsphere.
