Ali G (Sacha Baron Cohen) zBrush sculpt. I've spent so much time learning techniques for achieving likenesses. I believe I'm closer than I was a week ago. Ears are funny right now and the projection is a tad off.
Inspired by some of the PolyCount Recap stuff, I wanted to make my own asian-temple-thing. Not even close to most of the stuff on here but wanted to share.
I have been working on this on and off for a few months now, and it's driving me mad. Now my only goal is to just get it finished ASAP and I'm not focused to much on fixing it's problems, as I would rather move onto something else.
Idea of the composition layout. Ill be masking some areas and concepting some different color theory's (as suggested by other people), as well as some background ideas before investing in the 3d models, all in Photoshop.
Any suggestions are always welcome.

Following the Golden Ratio with level design! Clever. I love it, mate. However, the smaller divisons of the mean are meant to include some form of detail iirc. That way your eye 'spindles' down towards the point of focus.

if you want to use that golden triangle ratio
crop it to the right ratio too or else the composition look weird when there're space left
Hi all,
Been with Polycount for a while but haven't ever put anything up so this is my first ever post!
This is a droid design I've been working on and off since my course has ended for the year.
Hi guys, hope everyone is doing great!

Make a thread!
Thanks man! Im thinking about moving the sun or the circle rocks into the spiral more. I think ill have to rotate the whole scene to do that, given how the texture works and Ill be concepting out some forms in that space in 3d
PitelinM weird that you stop.. I really like it so far.. the only thing I can tell is that your head/skull might be a little deformed, but I'm no character artist
Hey guys.
Was working on a character from this awesome concept from Monster Hunter, but then realized that I'm not doing so well
Well, that's too bad. Was hoping it to be the first piece in my portfolio. Now going to move to something easier.
Hey, don't give up on this. It's looking really good so far. All it needs is a few tweaks to the proportions and I think and you've got yourself a really nice start. I think he looks a little squat right now, could be solved by extending the legs. Also, it's hard to tell from the screenshots you've posted, but his left, armored arm might be bulked up more, from the concept his forearm is giant with all the armor bits.

Update on the nose from the helmet here
still WIP. I need to improve the texture
Had some spare time today to knock out a few more areas of the drone.

A lovely doodle, but I couldn't help but laugh because he looks like he just got punched in the face.
the cuteness level for this is way over the charts ^_^
Any suggestions are always welcome.

Funny because my friend is actually working on the same Axe!
He's just waiting for sketchfab to add PBR gestion in the 3D viewer.

Just by curiosity, what's your polycount on this one?
Nice! It's a funny axe to do. Mine is 4350 Triangles.
Good luck to your friend with the texturing
