I decided to go back and revive my Noob Challenge 4 Scene before finishing up my escape scene. Couldn't finish Noob Challenge 4 at the time cuz I was going through getting Laid Off and moving cross country and all that jazz. Then Escape happened.
This is about 90% done. Some materials are WIP still.
Hell Knight from 'Doom' the Movie. I've seen a few sculpts of some creatures from the game so I thought I'd try creating one from the movie. Always been a fan of Doom.
- Soldiers now occationaly roll on the ground
- Paratroopers!
- Trying out a new style on the hovertank
- More comperhensive pickup interaction
- More comperhensive mortar ammo UI
Got bored and started working on a black male. Decided 1/2 way through that he is going to be John Stewart (Green Lantern).
Any CnC is welcome. I think his ears are a bit too big, also thinking his jaw line might need to be a bit more "heroic".
Lonewolf - your work is always inspirational.. If i could have an intimate moment with that m4, i totally would. Hate to be the one to follow that, but this is what i've spent the past couple days on
A sculpt/paint I did in mudbox that was supposed to be really quick. Ended up taking forever and I ran in to more problems than I can count in my workflow. I learned a lot.
Drumlord it's looking good, but I agree with Parth. Shifting the weight forward will give him that classical 'pirate looking through scope' look.
Beyond that, I really don't think that the foot inside the chest is a good idea. First, it's a caricature, so the chest should be full of gold! Second, it just looks goofy in comparison to the ultra-competant pirate bird standing on a pile of gold.
Thanks dude, that's a good point. Its based on a lot of the concept art from Bethesda (Adam Adamowicz, what an amazing talent RIP) I'm still a little broken as to which direction I might go. Right now the scene is lit without any light or shadow coloring, I like to work with raw diffuse colors to begin with to form a balanced foundation. Fallout 3 art direction has two themes, wasteland (yellow) and downtown (blue) but still unsure which direction I might go...
I must admit though a lot of my focus has been on Fallout 3, I really need to look more into the original games to try and dig out the concept artwork.
I really like the lighting being like that, probably won't look good once all the assets are done though.

nice love the colors and the metal. dust however... imho it would be nicer if it was thicker with proper volume.

Sculpted this over a year ago and decided to retopo and texture. Next up is the mask
Thanks! I *think* the concept was supposed to be an attack drone or something... :poly121:

Would love some feedback over there, First ever human character sculpt.
She loves Owls and Pirates, so...
The only piece i've made more details so far is the chest.
Here's a closer look, if anyone's interested (:
I Would LOVE some criticism on this, if you have the time.
Peace!
You need to work on the pose a bit. Shift the weight more towards the front leg and lean the back a bit backwards.
Nice work!

Anyways, would love to see the finished print.
