1024x1024 and 3,509 tris
shots from marmoset
final:
diffuse and wires shot:
now back to escape XD
YBourykina THIS IS AWESOME !!!
Kurt Russell Fan Club thanks you Kurt she's asian but I try to create something both look sexy and cute at the same time so true to say, it's hard to say which race she is.. but yeah I saw a lot of your great works before and it was awesome for me to know that you like this!
Make the materials a bit darker and saturated - for now its more like rusted metal then skin(?)
Yep it's supposed to be leather. I'm def not finished with the material yet. I think the spec/gloss needs some tweaking so it reads better. I'm gonna post it in my other thread soon so I can get more feedback and really nail the changes that need to be made.
fightpunch - cool head sketches
polaroid29 - dig the render
Cross post from the dota thread. I started working on this guy as a courier for dota 2 last summer.
After I finished the model my wife sadies picked up with rigging and animating him. She has experience in 3D, but this was her first time rigging and animating anything.
The ingame meshes are 3000 tris, with portrait LOD at 3500 and a 512 texture. There was also a limit of 52 bones, which turned out to be a little tricky with all the bits and bobs. :P
There's a few more images on the workshop page for anyone interested.

Hooooooollllly crap I love this! Are you planning on baking this out to a low poly?
And a crit if I may. The fold on the boots seem out of place? If they're leather which I would assume the material would be too thick to have folds like that.
Posting after that is like drinking orange juice after washing teeth... but... oh, hell.
Another sculpt I did these days. It's Mycroft of Aquilea, the main character of a french comic book, Mycroft Inquisitor, created by Arleston and Latil, drawn by Manini.
He is a kind of Sherlock Holmes, but in space, in the future. He always wears a funny kilt and smoke the narghilee.
Did some animation for a game me and a few mates are working on alongside our bachelor thesis Really basic stuff but I'm mostly an environmental artist so I'm quite happy with this! More to come!
And currently working on a high class baby stroller for a freelance project which had its deadline changed from next Tuesday to this Friday:
And while studying the reference pictures at 2am, I realized the front wheels looked like smiley faces with funny hats. I personified them. Wheel monsters!:
This has been good practice for modeling complex forms quickly. I really can't wait to get back to game art after this.
here is 3500 tri character i was working on this week this guy is for a game me and some friends are working on its going to be an RTS so most of the stuff wont show but that was a test mesh anyway.
rendered in marmoset 3 X maps of 1024 ( for now).
SA_22, those weapons are sweet! And great head studies Jaco!
Another shameless cross thread for work I have been doing for our Kickstarter, Camelot Unchained. Here is our newest race, the St'rm, which was dreamt up by our talented concept artist Sandra Pavulaan. To learn more about the birth of Sandra's design, Scott's sexy animation, and team's work, please watch our latest video on our Kickstarter page.
The model stands at 9717 tris, with diffuse, normal and spec maps. She was sculpted and textured in ZBrush, retopologized and baked in Topogun. Rigged with the 3ds CAT system, which has been a lifesaver in our pipeline. More races to come soon!

Here is the blockout. So far the comments that I received are: make it sexy and take a new spin on it. so I will!

Tell me about your influences. I'm interested in knowing what art and artists you draw inspiration from. This piece has moved me.
