All done sits around 6k with old school style cell shading and a 1024 map but that could come down to 512 without too much bother- I just prefer the crisp lines the higher rez textures give it
Here i'm working on a guillotine! it's just starting. i'm counting on making 2 hanging ropes and maybe extend the front a bit to put a wooden barrel in front of the guillotine.
Just finished off my Lumgus creature that I was working on. Would like to spend more time on it but that will have to do for not. Images are of the low poly in unity. There is currently no spec map, anyone have any tips or good tutorials for how to create them, I haven't done many before.
Great work everyone; it's nice to see every year the quality of work in the WAYWOT getting better and better.
Here is my latest modeling and design exercise
Why not quote this again? This looks great! My only beef would be with some of the functional design. The railing in particular stands out. It's attached to what looks like a pipe instead of something structural.
I really have been super busy with work so not much time to work on this but I'm finally almost done. A few minor things left but you can get a solid idea from these shots.
fightpunch - cool head sketches
polaroid29 - dig the render
Cross post from the dota thread. I started working on this guy as a courier for dota 2 last summer.
After I finished the model my wife sadies picked up with rigging and animating him. She has experience in 3D, but this was her first time rigging and animating anything.
The ingame meshes are 3000 tris, with portrait LOD at 3500 and a 512 texture. There was also a limit of 52 bones, which turned out to be a little tricky with all the bits and bobs. :P
There's a few more images on the workshop page for anyone interested.

Here's a pic of the new scene Im working on:
Only a few hours in. Probably not gonna spend a lot of time on it but I figured I'd throw it up here.
Morning sketch:
Here is something I've been working on
I started learning to write CGFX shaders last night. Still much to learn and the textures aren't final (nor the sculpt for that matter).
