@awesome welles, it's looking amazing. Congrats on being in the recap. Much deserved, unlike one guy I saw near the bottom of the list.
As for me:
More female for the Escape challenge. Working on the clothing and materials etc, plus still trying to find a decent face. Too many reference photos I think, need to pull it back a bit.
Concluding my first sculpting pass, roughing everything in. Still need to flesh out the head a bit more and add eyes before I can move onto detail sculpting.
Requesting feedback from any and all. Please and Thankyous :):)
Hey ysalex, the face is much better now. On the previous version the mouth was a bit huge... Nice touch with the semi opaque clothing also. Keep going !
Decided to try my hand at modelling something non-military and wholly functional, wires and circuit boards out, like the kind of stuff you see from private robotics companies at tech demos etc. Need to clean up the bake and get on with the texture, as well as get it all into Gmod for my mate who's going to be making this into an all-singing-all-dancing RC vehicle...
I started my second big UDK scene. Iยดm trying to make Nikola Teslaยดs lab. Some Tesla coils and stuff. I also want to do something similar like in the Bioshock Infinite.
@Rollin - Thanks! Well, at first I do a sketch in slightly bigger than A6 size in my moleskine sketchbook with a Derwent Artists Colored Pencil - Burnt Carmine (my favorite which took me years to discover). Then I do shading and local values with watercolor on top of that drawing. After that I scan it into photoshop. Having done some tweaks to the saturation I feel I've got a good starting point for a digital painting. It's all photoshop (been using it for 8 years), but I do most of my painting with the smudge tool with custom brush settings, alternating between finger-painting and just the regular setting. Then I use a soft brush and selections to get some smooth gradients, and the blur-tool to create more softness as planes recede in space. I use color balance and levels a lot too. Hope that helps bro .
Oh, and the PC web-server was giving me all kinds of crap, triple post ftw....

Before I saw you wanted a similar look to Bioshock Infinite that's the first thing that popped in my head when I scrolled past it. Great work so far!
Started my next personal project. First rough blockout sculpt pass to get a feel for the pose and proportions. Based on a concept from Johannes Helgeson aka kaktuzlime
testing out my modularity and shader with this asset for a scene I plan on creating. Plan on changing the shutters because I don't like them very much now, and I'm going to add some highlights to the wood edges as well to make them pop more.
Here's a few Maya screencaps of a Dishonored style head-bust I've been working on. Please excuse the crappy anatomy :S I learnt a lot in that regard while working on this..i hope!
First time sculpting anything in months, second organic sculpt evar. I'm happy with how it came out for how noob I am. Gotta retopo and finish sculpting the upper torso and tentacles. I just have a decimated version in my scene right now.
The original Fallout I'm assuming? It's more colorful than FO3 and NV.
I like it a lot, hope to see it more complete.
Thanks dude, that's a good point. Its based on a lot of the concept art from Bethesda (Adam Adamowicz, what an amazing talent RIP) I'm still a little broken as to which direction I might go. Right now the scene is lit without any light or shadow coloring, I like to work with raw diffuse colors to begin with to form a balanced foundation. Fallout 3 art direction has two themes, wasteland (yellow) and downtown (blue) but still unsure which direction I might go...
I must admit though a lot of my focus has been on Fallout 3, I really need to look more into the original games to try and dig out the concept artwork.
