Hey everyone, amazing updates as usual. I wanted to share with you a new game I've been working on this past year. Its a Contra style 2d shooter set in the Celeryland environment that I was working on last year. Check out the kickstarter vid here. http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1022212678/bullet-bros

Needs it's own thread, a feature, and a news post. Right now.
Would you be willing to break down how you approached creating your 2d environment assets? It's blowing my mind how you're pulling off what you are. Not about painting them, but building them and designing them to be so cohesive and to fit together with so much variety and yet modularity. How do you handle them and arrange them on your documents? Color balancing? A general asset creation breakdown would be super helpful, we're building an engine with a similar goal. If you don't want to disclose, I understand.
I am doing a character bust in my spare time. The actors name is John Slattery, he is more recently known for his role in Mad Men, but he has been in plenty of other stuff. This took me quite a few hours to get to this stage and I still have a lot to go. I need to build out his suit, hat and cigarette. Uvs need to be done and the textures as well. This project is still going to be quite a long venture, but I will post updates with what I have as soon as I can.Enjoy!!! Hi so I've gone about doing a redesign of Nina Williams from Tekken with a celtic redesign.
Here's the quick design sketch.
At the minute I'm sculpting and decided to leave out the extra strapping on the abdomen and holsters. The boots design is also changed. The weapons are being done separately.
I did this exercise this weekend. 4 hrs in Zbrush. Just working on accuracy and speed. I would love feedback and the design and execution Plan on polypainting him and giving him a render. Hope you like!

These are really sweet. The soft rendering you are achieving in your sculpt really works for me. More!
