Fantastic stuff in here. Makes me doubt if I should really post this here or not but here we go:
Lowpoly sword I made in front of my students. About 2 hours of work. Don't know who made the original concept I used as inspiration. If you know, let me know!
Brygelsmacwow! That looks great! Not going to lie, though. The render doesn't really do that model justice! Might be a good idea to further look into rendering techniques to present your creations!
If you've got ~$100 to spare, have a look at OctaneRender or Marmoset Toolbag.
Finished up my year at Vancouver Film School. Prepare yourself for some NOT game art, but thought I'd show anyway cause I love this forum and community Here's my Film Modeling Reel from VFS. Thanks!
Oh wow. It's tuesday and the week is already going badass. Great work, peeps!
Environment poop from for today. :P Maybe more later this week.
This is great! I'm so stoked for Star Citizen. Ironically enough, it could be the zoomed out view of my new piece (though yours is way better). Pretty simple ship design, but that's what I was going for
I think my arcade cabinet is coming along nicely. Now have the rest of the arcade to make. Still don't know why I am so fascinated with arcades but at least they are awesome. Just wish they were still as popular.
Now that the game has shipped, I'm finishing up some lingering portfolio stuff to revamp my ooooold site:
I also launched a tumblr recently here: http://mutatedjellyfish.tumblr.com . I use it to post anything I'm working on: freelance, design, illustration, and 3D, so TUMBLE ME SOFTLY
So much nice work, the sans-smoothing group images are really nice.
TLishman: Like the character, but I feel like for such a burly character the weapon should be larger, though since it's fan-art if the weapon is that size you can keep on rocking what you're doing!
Working on a remake of a character for a game I'm working on with some people, the character is supposed to be about 10-ish, hopefully she looks that:
I did this for the cgsociety workshop run by Katon Callaway. I used a concept art from God of War and just improvised along the way , took me a while. Hope you guys like it : )
I feel like you need to tone down the cowhide or dust pass (whichever it is) that is on top of the piano lid. It is just killing your texture right now. Between that and the drip stain you have running along the edge it just looks out of place to me. Not that you can't maybe work these into the spec, but having them full on in the diffuse seems really odd to me.

Little update on my piece, would appreciate critique (PM might be best as I don't have a thread for this one).
Looks intriguing. What's this all about?
I too, am intrigued by this and would like to know more
also, in related sci-fi-ness, shamelessly cross-posting a little thing I started
