I saw that there was a LoL challenge to zombify your favorite champion , but they didn't accept any digital art so I dropped the zombiness and just continued making him scary.
Turns out posing is harder than I thought. Finally got some time to work on this guy but never really got any results I liked, so I just tilted his torso and head a little.
Oh dear, what I've I gotten myself started on...
I've just started blocking this out. But, I'm finding myself very inspired by the visuals of Ni no Kuni, and have decided to recreate the train from Spirited away as closely as I can in 3D and trying to maintain the same style. To push myself artistically.
I wanted to improve my skills at sculpting cartoon characters, especially the eyes, so I decided to learn from Kent Melton. He has a very nice style to his sculpts. I decided on sculpting Rapunzal and this is the result.
i finally got permission to post some old work from my first job in 2012, its old and i have improved tonnes since but still proud of it, not sure i am going to put it on my folio i am still thinking about it, anyway i hope you guys like it.
How's it going people, I'm new around these parts. Been Lurking for a while, finally decided to throw my stuff to the sharks and get some better feedback then what the facebook ends up giving me.
This a 3D model of a character for one of my classes, any feedback is welcome.
P.S.
I tried to create a new thread, and it won't allow me to do so, any reason why?
Also, when trying to add an image, it always asks for a URL, anyway around that? Or should I use a site to host images?
Learning a lot about hair. Here's what I came up with, after a week's vacation and getting back to work--Think it isn't so bad, at least to my untrained eye. Thanks to ysalex for sharing how he does hair.
Thanks! It's the result of a lot of trial and error, research, hard work, sweat and tears (of blood). And bugging a lot of people for tips. haha By the way, is that a courier for dota? It's been a while since I played dota but aren't couriers supposed to be small and slow? The ostrich might be bigger (and faster) than crystal maiden, unless it's a really small ostrich.
Wow This is great I love the UDK shots. This looks so familiar though. Did you have a teacher named Tommy?
HAHAHA of course man. I was in his advanced material lighting class.
Keyshot one is the one that I made for his class. Final render was done in Maya for Cho. During that time I was also working on this environment for fun.
some shots from the marmoset 2 beta testing, trying to get the right values for the skin shader but i managed to get it to a point where the model looks decent in most lighting conditions, will finish it soon i hope xD

I watched The Road for the second or third time a week ago something like that, and fell in love with that flare pistol scene
so here I am:
just noticed I forgot the top left black little thingy, i'll add that.
I hope textures won't mess it all up, it's gonna be one of my "real first"

This is the environment and mechanics created in two weeks to study Ndo2 and tillable textures. I still need a lot of works to do for this hahaha:)
