I've been doing a lot a scifi related things lately so I thought I'd take a step back and do a simple character this time. This allowed me to really focus on color, lighting and brushstrokes.
Concepting some character ideas in zbrush as I want to create a hand painted scene (old school diffuse only). I'm sure some of you can guess what they are based on :P

Grrr first time I've pimped anything using sketchfab, will try harder next time!
Been working on this on and off for the last few weeks since Futurlab released images of their new game, Velocity X2, not had much time to have a proper session but she's nearly ready for texturing. Not sure whether to use diffuse textures or just material colours to retain the crispness that is the strength of the 2D art in the game.
Still need to sort her hair out as it's just a placeholder, get her metallic arm finished off and tweak a few bits n peices.

@Aaron_Fang - Love the tension in the pose

Even if you don't have any layers to show, I want to pick your brain. Do you have any brush techniques, particular settings, or presets that you use?
