Wow its been a long time since I updated this thread. Well I started working on her again. Aside from none art related school work, I'm juggling between a few different models that I've had sitting around. Here is where I'm at with this one. Crits and comments are very welcome.

I'm making an office based series of animations, I'm planing on making a little endless runner out of it eventually where you smash your office up at the start to create a multiplier and then your chased out of the building by security.
you have to jump over all the usual things like peoples desks, lazy co-workers and filing cabinets before getting caught by security and thrown out.
writing it down just now is giving me a matrix vibe, you know the bit when morphus if on the phone to neo? never mind...
Hey guys... Never bored to come across those awesome pages.
Inspiring and frantic, as usual.
I ve been continuing the one i'm working on. Still trying to use mari for texturing - all hand painted, i'm trying vray's fast sss2 and all advises are welcome. Still WIP. Needs a lot of work still.

So, I made a thing. Kinda new to modelling still, this'll be my third or fourth model I've actually made, and probably the first one I'd consider even near done. :P
Still got to add a safety catch, and maybe some detail to the end of the barrel, both with and without the muzzle brake.
C&C welcome, please, critique my horrible optimisation. XD
*edit* Accidentally uploaded a massive image. Fixed now.

Made a little video about the new 1.15 version of Last Knight, it features randomly generated hats! It works through a mixture of randomized colors, vertex deformations, mesh variations and material defined variation.

The hats are all free and can be found in the game and also shared outside of it.
It's definitely looking good! There are a few adjustments I would make though.
Silhouette wise, I would maybe add a couple more poly's to the tip of the knife. I don't know how that would cut through something, unless your going for a more machete feel? But you would need more teeth for that. I would just looks the ultra low poly feel to the tip and do the same treatment you did for the base of the handle (except more sharp of course)
Right now the knife seems to have the same level of specularity. I really think you could tone down the handle part more, that way the metal will really pop. Also I would add some sort of detail normal to the handle, looks pretty flat. And lastly, you should do a stronger pass of wear and tear to show more history to the knife. Unless your going for brand new, and if that is the case, I would tone down the sort of grunge dirt you have on the metal and make it a nice clean reflective surface.
Hopefully this helps and I can't wait to see further progress
I made this for the Planet To Planet Fanart Challenge where we had to take an existing extraturestrial franchise and make a fanart piece of it .
