Hi guys, long time lurker first time poster here. I'm very impressed by the quality of literally everything in this thread, I even thought twice about posting my wip here(didn't want to lower degree of awesomeness of this thread, lol).
Anyway, here it is:
It's a 1973 Toyota Crown.
Still trying to setup my vray materials and lighting
Finally getting the basics of zbrush down. This is a character for my senior capstone project at DePaul University. Still needs details on the hands and shoes.
@Dennispls: The colors feel a bit muted, a bit more contrast in the colors would make it a bit more appealing to the eyes, the model itself is good just needs a bit more tweaking in the texture.
thats sherlock is cool, is it highpoly cause that hair looks immense!
Here cheers, yeah it's a prerendered piece. The hair was done from fibermesh in zbrush, exported as curves into maya and using nHair. I may have a look and see if I can get a decent result getting a realtime version from it.
Anatomy and character study WIP. Still some tinkering left on the tattoos but I think that I'm nearly done with this one. Any suggestions would be appreciated!!
Wrapped another character for an indie game I've been helping out with on my weekends - The Girl and The Robot - which just went up on Kickstarter last week; http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/2039811773/the-girl-and-the-robot! Some nice write-ups in Kotaku and the like too. Crazy!
Some high-poly modelling over the last week or so for abit of fun, its a Frankenstein BMX made of cool looking components from several bmx brands, all mashed together and rendered in keyshot.
So I try to at least do something art related every weekend. So this weekend I was feeling some knights and horse action. Here is the result of that adventure, I spent around 3-4hrs on the piece. Below the image I put together a quick breakdown of how the images where used. It does not cover the entire process because a lot of that process is playing with adjustment settings on every image I use as well as some blending and painting to make them work with the scene somewhat. But at least it gives you an idea what it started our as and how it ended up.
Watched some game of thrones this week so decided to go back and rework this guy. Not really sure what I want to do with the hair. here's some screengrabs.
In the weekends between school, I've been working on this:
Not too happy with the satchels and mag-pouches at the back of the "Hangman". I'm creating this based off of a friends SASR cosplay, so I have plenty of reference. I've learned to love IMM in zbrush!
Those little wires and things you can create/find are so useful! For the wire connecting the PRC-148 to the front of his vest I used a really neat IMM military wire kit from badking. Super useful stuff.
Currently sitting at 13,247,541 quads. Not too bad if I do say so myself.
I started this model on my freetime for challenge but I couldn't finish
it on time. Modeling with maya and zbrush, textures with zbrush and
photoshop and rendered in vray.
i will do some change on the model soon
