Its intimidating posting on here with everyone's awesome work! Here's a little update on my Halloween character, I hope to have him wrapped up within the week.
Painted in Photoshop mixing between photos and digital painting with a lot of layer blending. There is a lot of things I would do differently. I just decided to move on and start thinking about the next piece. I am having a lot of fun doing the kit bash blend method and find myself relaxed and able to get an idea across pretty fast. Id say this piece only took like 4-6hrs in reality once I had the images and had time to sit and work on it. I spread it out to work on it only on weekends really. Few hours a day here and there.
A quick head doodle that went from an alien, to fish man, to ape man, so I figured why not see where the piece goes and make a version of Sun Wukong (The Monkey King). He is very much WIP at the moment. Figured I would see if anyone wants to give some CnC.
Side note: His deltoid is all jacked up at the moment.
A model I've been working on for the game Cloudbuilt, that actually got greenlit just a couple of minutes ago! Yaaay~
There's the concept too, I didn't draw that one though.
Not posted for a while. Trying to learn Zbrush, been following the Rock tutorials by Strkl on YouTube along with 3d Motive's Intro to Zbrush. Also been playing around with dDo.
just some sculpt for fun. I usually model hard surface realistic stuff so I decided to change it up. This guy is based on concept art for the game Outernauts.
Hey, guys
Here's some update.
Based on Adrian Smith's concept art. Add legs and test weapon. Need more work on hands and back, also legs and weapon. anyway, WIP...
Not the most impressive thing in the world, but I made a universal brick shader for the houses in my castle, going for an industrialized Brick Gothic style.
anglorum: Love the Dark Crystal. This is really cool, but I feel like your shapes and colors blend together. Looking at your mesh from different angles, it is hard to differentiate some of the forms because there is little contrast. I feel like a gradient map from top to bottom {like the DOTA2 workflow) may help break it up a bit. It's a great piece, it just blends together a bit too much.
Finally got some textures on the sword (blade looks like ass but w/e, I'll get it), and did some proper face textures. Still have a ways to go on everything, so crits are welcome of course

Look forward to seeing more.
