The lighting seems a little bit too diffuse. I think you can get more interesting light situations with a strong rim and higher contrast. Also some small lights on the spacecraft itself would be sweet.
Other than that the model seems quite nice and texturing is solid!
yea, it has small lights but due to the ship's scale (1.8 kilometres) they're only really visible if you fly right up to it. I'll play with the lighting/background - thanks for the input!
A little something I'm working on. Based on a concept from Sara_Q
Wanted to make something lowpoly with flat color in a papercraft way. After Seeing some video of Godus.
Woho long time no post.
So I've been working on this gun for the past week. Made from a Gears of War concept.
I'm pretty happy with the result so far, but should probably do some optimizing (about 9k tris now). And I might tweak the shader and textures some more.
Used DDO for some of the texture, awsome software!.
And it's rendered in UDK.
So hello guy,
sorry for the two very close post,
decided to call Ellie done. I've been getting so many critics at that point (good one!) but I'm pretty happy about the character at the moment and I don't want to do any changes only to please other people.
Thanks again for following me through this
Once she will be rigged I will pose her in cryengine.
great work on your Ellie, Marie! I think in your next piece you can try and really emphasize material definition and see how that feels, but she turned out great
Spitty that's boss as hell!
Fred2303, that looks fantastic, man! how'd you manage to style that hair?
testing out a new brush for low poly hair in zbrush, Video is in realtime too. Only problem with it is IMM brushes dont allow UV info so you do have to unwrap it afterwards. This one took me about 5 minutes in the end to unwrap onto 2 islands and fix any warped UVs I had, so its not too bad. The main thing is its really fast and clean and easy to work with. Will iron out some kinks and release it soon
here's a mole guy i did for Substrata. polypainted in zbrush and touched up in photoshop
This is awesome!
the only that jumps up at me is maybe splitting the colour up a bit. The creature chest piece would stand out more if it was a different colour, a complimentary colour for instance.

Working on some updates for our ChestBurster AR app.
Took the original ZBrush sculpt, ZRemeshed it, UV mapped in ZBrush, Reprojected all the old detail, painted materialID colors in Zbrush, a layer of Polypaint diffuse, then Quixel dDo textures, into Unity and presented with Marmoset SkyShop Mobile IBL shader.

Not going to lie... this is freaking genius! I was thinking about how I wanted to do hair on my latest model, and this gives me an idea.
working on an updated web design for my portfolio. Slightly different color scheme, new font, smaller header. I wanted to move away from the image based titles/header, so working with all html text stuff.
