Ive never painted on 3d before. Guessing where forms are when painting on the uvs seems to be hit and miss, not to menstion time consuming (painting saving and then checking the results in a renderer.) are there any tricks u guys use? Getting a 2048 2048 jpeg of the flat uv mesh would be helpfull, is there a way to do this…
Hey Folks, Can someone recommend a good Vetrex Color Paint tool/Plugin/Script? I have to paint specific and complicated (hard surface) Geo and the Standard VertexPaint Modifier doesnt let me deselect stuff and saving presets (probably a bug but I dont have the possibility to Update)
This is something that is bugging me for a long time but here it got really annoying: How can I paint single dots in my mask, as in click paint mask without Zbrush taking it as a shortcut to blur the mask? I checked all the settings, searched the documentation and searched google and I'm beginning to think there is no way?
Hey guys, Does anyone know if theres a way to paint transparency onto a mesh in zbrush, for something like fringed cloth or fur? I've always painted the 3d cards and alpha'd the parts i dont want later, but it would be sweet if i could combine that into the zb pipeline. Anyone done anything like this before, or know if…
I want to do a couple touch ups on some lightmap seams between 2 seperate terrain meshes, the uv's are not shared. Maya's 3d paint tool can't blur across multiple meshes. Sorry the title is wrong I want to blur across multiple meshes not paint.
Hi, I'am planning a level inside ue4 and I would like to use vertex painting on walls to blend multiple materials together. I do know that I'll need a fair amount of vertexes to have nice results when blending the materials, but, should I disable LODs for assets that will have vertex painting ?
--EDIT-- New Project: Final texture: --ORIGINAL POST-- Testing out some hand painted textures.. I would love some feedback on this. ps: marmoset: zbrush: I feel like this would be the base that I would paint over, to give it more of a painterly feel, but I'm not sure where to take it from here.
Greetings poly count, This is my first attempt at making an asset and taking it into photoshop for hand painting. Have had no training in painting or colour theory strictly max knowledge . Please let me know how i can improve this or gain knowledge for my next works. This took me about 20 minutes to model and paint.
I wanted to ask. For people, who have tried Photoshop for 3d texture painting. Is it any good? Is it convenient for painting 8k, 16k and 32 k textures. I am thinking of trying out mari, or 3dcoat. For me, I find Mudbox a little less intuitive. I normally use Viewport canvas in 3dsmax.
I recently grabbed a copy of MARI Indie and I have ZBrush that I can polypaint in. If I'm painting my textures in these programs, and not painting the 2d representation in Photoshop, do I care what the UV's look like? Just curious to see what the opinions are. Thanks.
