OK videos should be brighter now. But... quote blocks are also brighter. FML.

Yep, I am seeing the overcharged "Draft Saved" popups. They're really weird, sliding under my image embed, then back out, and disappearing too fast to read.
We're seeing some weird behavior going on with the Send Message system. It's posting another message every time it saves a draft. This has been reported to Vanilla support.
We're also seeing a more than usual number of "Draft saved" popups while typing. Reported this as well.
We used to be able to change text alignment (left-justified, center-, right-) but not anymore with new editor.
Reported, waiting for a fix.
After embedding an image, we can't seem to rearrange the image order. We can select a chunk of text that includes the image, then Ctrl-X to cut, but Ctrl-V to paste doesn't seem to work. Images have to be re-embedded instead.
Reported, waiting for a fix.
Image attachments (the paperclip button) now appear at the top of a post, used to be at the bottom of the post, like most other forums do
Image attachments (the paperclip button) are positioned where the text carat is located. So if you want the attachment at the end, put the cursor there first.
As poopie wrote last in the Site styling thread, I can't seem to reply in that thread, getting a loading cursor in the reply field. I wanted ask there, if the current setup results in a limited emoji library? It also seems when putting in a emoji like the following text goes in a new line. That said, thanks for the work you put in Eric, happy to have this place!
We changed to a different post editor, which inadvertently caused some drafts to be malformed. Deleting the draft should fix the problem.
If you want to keep some content from a previously saved draft, then before you delete the draft, copy/paste it into a plain-text editor on your computer. Then you can make a new reply or post, and copy/paste the plain text you saved off. This should remove any old formatting, and hopefully any buggy behavior.
We used to be able to view only one post, (img heavy threads) to load "quicker" the recent post, is that not a thing anymore? i rather enjoyed that. Right clicking open new at the posted time-frame used does not do what i want it to do, it loads the comment but along with the rest what is the trick to doing the comment i want alone apart from the rest of the thread? or not an option anymore ?
https:// - no option to add that to wiki? while you are there? sure it might not need it but users might want it. I do not visit it much because of that.
Would it be possible to fix the color contrast between lines when posting code? Like here you can see Klunk posted some maxscript and every other line is almost pure white making it almost impossible to read without copying to a regular text file or similar first: https://polycount.com/discussion/235000/maxscript-polygon-to-mesh-projection#latest
Adjusted the color some. It's difficult since Vanilla overrides some of the code block styling. Plus we're using a deprecated forum post editor, since the new one really sucks and our host is not interested in fixing it. Hope this helps a little though.
I'm not aware if this was mentioned before.. after ever smiley/emojii.. there is a <newline>.. so when i put three in a row ..it looks perfect in the preview but.. (properly it will be in one row now ) Edit: no.. exactly as i expected.. Edit2: and in the "toggle html view" editor ? Edit3: no '<br>' or something else visible.. IDK

yay ctrl stepping through text works again!
It seems like embedded youtube videos appear darker than they really are.

The "draft saved" message seems to be on overdrive, pops up on the left of my screen multiple times while writing even just a single sentence.

OK, I think quote blocks should be better now. Hopefully nothing else broke in the interim.
Thanks for reporting bugs!

OK I've styled the Save Draft popups that occur while typing, so at least they're less distracting.
Automatic "Save Draft" has been disabled temporarily. This means comments are not being auto-saved as you type.
Drafts can be manually saved whenever the "Save Draft" button is clicked.
We're chasing down a bug, and we'll let you know when autosave is re-enabled. Thanks!
Chasing down a few bugs, thought it'd be helpful to share here.
Save Draft has been fixed.

i used the (odd behaving UX) image placement, look at what happened to the footer
Thanks. Anyone have CSS tips to solve this? Doesn't show on mobile, but does on desktop.

Maybe I'm stupid and maybe too late to the party but
Yeah. Vanilla Forums remembers which editor was used, so you can edit effectively.
We can change to a new editor but that affects the whole site and every new post.
We do have a few options for editors. Vanilla recommends Rich Editor 2, but we could choose another if we wanted.

For the frozen reply field, try deleting any Drafts you may have for the thread.
Good luck!
In the meantime, you can still access the wiki via Google caches. I know it's not ideal, but it worked OK for me. For example
https://polycount.com/discussion/comment/2784253/#Comment_2784253
(function(i,s,o,g,r,a,m){i['GoogleAnalyticsObject']=r;i[r]=i[r]||function(){
(i[r].q=i[r].q||[]).push(arguments)},i[r].l=1*new Date();a=s.createElement(o),
m=s.getElementsByTagName(o)[0];a.async=1;a.src=g;m.parentNode.insertBefore(a,m)
})(window,document,'script','//www.google-analytics.com/analytics.js','ga');
ga('create', 'UA-15759689-1', 'auto');
ga('send', 'pageview');
</script>
</body>
</html>
Oh yeah, the google bit is a leftover from back when we had ads.

LMK if anything breaks...
