maxloegler - Based on your thread she's an assassin. I would think the feet of her legs would appear to be more stealthy. Currently those are some clacking hooves. Great work so far though GL.
thanks man! your were totally right!
here is an update of my entry (still blocking phase):
Made a little platform for my Halo armor WIP. Took a couple hours, I know, for something so simple it shouldn't have been such a long process, but I'm happy with it nonetheless.
Busted out the oils again.
WIP, going to be an Christmas present for a buddy of mine. This has a funny story behind it, it started out as a sketch, and my buddy loved it so much that he picked it up when it was wet. Needless to say he left a lot of fingerprints on it and felt really bad.Several months later, I found this oil sketch just sitting in my basement and it made me chuckle. Time to finish it!
ljibli: Nice work, dude. Does his arm connect into the gun? Excellent sculpt, too.
Leslie! Dude, keep going man. I'm loving this series. Think you might do some Bluth Films stuff in the future?
Here's a venom bust I did not too long ago, thought I would share this. I might get back into doing some sculpts here soon. Likely another Venom 'cause he's so damn cool to me.
Did some playing with the 3Dcoat paint function, and it is excellent. This is a quick color test in Marmoset, and I am really happy with how well 3D coat does. Cheers.

Which head do you like? I'm working on a fat alien for Mass Effect. Body anatomy needs another pass too. And probably will use finger webbing with the one head.
Amazing detail, and I love the overall shape that makes me wish I had Zbrush.
my critique is Animation related since this armor has no joints in its arms and shoulders(concept wise it seems like they are all covered in what looks like seamless non-deform-able hard surface plates)
I know you probably don't make this for animation but would be pretty cool if it looked like it was able to achieve realistic movement without having to deform the hard surface geometry.
yeah that's a fair call since the colour separation here. being just geo. gives no indication really of any differences in material. it'd be a combination of futureTech moulded robot rubber and hard plate chunks that will slide over each other and shift where they'd need to for articulation. the arms for example are almost entirely the flexible rubberyNess. . .
SOOOOO MUCH AWESOMENESS!!! I have been lurking for way too long. Here is a sculpt I busted out today, now that summer and fall are over, more time for lazy saturdays...

Nice characters, but the last one has...a well known mask from a Game; That's on purpose?
