Randomind: Great axe and awesome model. Maybe the gold is too yellow but that's down to taste.
I've got some more practice doing painterly textures. Tree bark texture. Leaves are to come. I had fun with this, it feels more artistic to paint textures instead of going for realism.
At this point i'm not really sure how we'll be animating and rendering Bort in the game. 3D model, baked animation or 2D sprites. Either way I'll be needing a fully animated 3D model to work from. And as its been ages since I animated anything I made a very quick rig and roughed out this animation as a test. I'll need to go back and do a proper rig at some point.
Thanks euclidius and choco!
I'm also a huge fan those games (obviously). In fact I'm also working on a game right now inspired by their design philosophy (or trying to at least). Choco, I really love the landscapes you've been posting and I can't wait to see more!
This was made of a concept for Warhammer: Age of Reckoning
i hope who ever drew it is cool with it :> -->reps to you
(rendered with the 3pointshader)
Freaking awesome, My only crit is that the fire could maybe, be a little more contrasting. It doesn't read immediately like firing come from the dragons mouth.
On the back view, you have the upper body overlapping into the lower body instead of the other way around. Sorry, I'm bad with muscle names and am too lazy to look up the proper terminology, but maybe this (slightly NSFW) image will help:
still working on my game, i think i'm done with this room
Looks great, but pretty sure there should be a pipe from the toilet tank to the toilet bowl. Unless that's the only part embedded in the wall, but it just looks a bit nonsensical to someone who's done any plumbing. That said, the aesthetic aspect is beautiful.
Trying to level up my sky work since inFAMOUS 2 has shipped.
Matte painting plate for a final environment matte painting. I usually paint skies, but this was about 20 different photos and painting layers using techniques from my Matte Painting class over at CG society. Trying to get more photo-real but still captivating and colourful.
I took most of the photos from my house in Seattle over the last year, with the except of 1 or 2 of them. The whole plate took me about 4 or so hours, and the final one is a pretty big res!
Finally got some time over the weekend to mess around with Dynamesh!
Here is the resulting hellish spawn... Enjoy

Aaaah I love LOVE this! I especially love his feet, his footpads and toes and claws and tendons and bones and ankles.... I love feet :poly136: Love his massive hands and forearms too!
I had some free time at work today, so I hanged around on polycount and saw the awesome monster Dii made... Hey Dii, I hope you don't mind! After seeing your hot sculpt I wanted to do something kind of like yours... I ctrl+c with my eyes and made this :
I'll finish it later, so I'm not posting it in the speed sculpt topic
His head kinda looks like it's about to split in half with that big seam, but it also looks like the narliest ass-chin ever so thats ok. Thanks for posting:)
poopinmymouth :I added the pipe from the toilet tank to the toilet bowl, you're right its weird.
Ty for the feedback!
Btw:
Tokoya: i dont plan to make a site, its really a spare time project, without real delay, but maybe i'll add a pixel art gallery to my site, if i start to have lots of environments.

nice, the belly button looks too low though, it should be closer to the waist line.

album art for a friend. This is the graphic version, which he probably won't use. The blood was fun to do!
Also really like that alien, Haiasi. You guys need to quit giving me something to shoot for. (Not really, don't.)

Very cool! I'm sure whoever drew up that concept would be happy to see this What kind of polycount/ texture size did you use for it?

Notice how the back of the hips go up over and into the back. So: and not: I like how it's coming along though!
@diver: i love that mood, very chilly, moist with nicely contrasting warm sunrise. I got a good feel out of that.
@Mike: sweet! the first guy is my favorite. Reminds me of bob ross x)
@Organized Chaos: its around 2k, pretty high imo but in this case i cared more about the silhouette. The beauty render was made with a 1k.
Hmmmmmm. I would totally eat that! Dont know if I would survive though! !!
I didnt have much time today since Im at work so Ive done a quickie:

Its pretty crazy but on UV edges its really problematic currently, the mesh can get cracks there.
and here on my Knight and Horse:
The tesselation density is high here but i could also connect the density to the camera distance which would then change it dynamicly.
Here is my comicon challenge entry.
