Impala: I like the new lighting better, the contrast is much improved and the orange less obnoxious.
Lonewolf: That is some great modeling and I want your skills!
A tree... Handpainted textures completely now. I changed the bark texture to something completely painted and I think it looks better now. The image is from Marmoset.
mikef: No site yet, but it's an overhead turn based tactical shooter based on games like Necromunda and XCOM. It'll be on iPhone
jramauri: cheers man
randomind: thanks, lol bob ross!
Impala, how did you do the panoramas? Environment looks sweet as hell, I want to see something in there now
Microsoft ICE. It is insanely awesome. And cheers once i have the final additions in there (haning wires and some cloth + a few more overlays, graffiti, service grids etc) i'll move back onto my tumbler and get the unwrap finished and low poly fully textured then hopfeully once i start to learn how to setup a vehicle in UDK i can get it sliding around in the map ^^
I had 20 min free at lunch so I came up with this guy. I wish I would have more time. I spent too much time trying to tinkle with the beard and left more important areas which caused me to have another unfinished sculpt. I really have to start organizing myself. Anyone knows a good hair/fur sculpting tutorial?
3DCreative has finally started showing my work for the Swordmaster 2 series - Some of it, I admit, had to be rushed to meet some promo deadlines but overall I'm happy. Will most likely make some new, more interesting, renders in the near future.
Damn, Ben... the combination of your photographic, and baking skills makes every treat there look absolutely delicious! Did you go to school to learn bakery, or is it a skill you just picked up?

Self taught (like 3d and photography) I learn well when I can see/taste immediate feedback. I think that's why I like baking more than cooking, because you can taste the batter and know mostly how it's gonna come out.
I find my recipes from two main websites, if I know what I want to cook, and just need an excellent recipe of it, I go to www.allrecipes.com and sort the search results by rating. If I just have a vague idea based on a keyword, or have no idea, I use www.tastespotting.com
Once a recipe really strikes me, I bake it once verbatim, and then think about what I would change the next time, and keep refining it till I feel it's excellent. When you start to cook a lot of similar things, the "rules" start to become apparent and you become better at improvising without ruining the chemical reaction.
My favorite was when I HAD to have cornbread muffins, and you cannot buy Jiffy cornbread mix in Iceland. So I bought a can of corn, slow microwaved it on low for 30 minutes till they were dry and brownish, and then used my coffee grinder to turn it into a vaguely flourlike substance. It wasn't the best cornbread I've ever had, but it was tasty!
Hey thanks for the reply, Ben. My girlfriends daughter is really into baking, and she's thinking about taking some courses on it in college. I'll tell her what you posted. Also, my nephews ex is taking an accelerated cooking class, but really enjoys baking too. They'll both enjoy this information. Thanks again.

cool man- I just notice, are you using both of panorama as your HDRI map? if you are, that's clever-
I'd completely forgotten about using an HDRI for this, thanks for waking me up! been too focused on sorting the lighting out and stuff.
Props from my workbench
