@d1ver: Yep. Composition feels odd. The image is being cut in half by the lakes edge. The foreground and background is split. The eye is being pulled straight across the middle to the right side but then it has no where to go. The right side of the lake looks odd as well. The small hill doesn't balance the image and the perspective feels off, maybe its the way the lake cuts into the bottom of the hill. Liking the style though. Keep at it.
Impala88 : thanks, glad my work could inspire someone jocz : thanks i knooow i wanted to but i always leave spec/gloss for last and i ran out of time meshiah : awesome, more please
Well I was taking a whack at the arena net thing until 3Dmax corrupted my file, It's probably for the better though, don't want the first thing on my portfolio to be something that's going to be so commonly seen
With the downtime at work I decied to try HP modeling in Maya. Defaintly lacking compaired to Max, but its a nice change of pace from regular work. Quick little viewport grab of a head based off one of the Creature Box concepts for Ratchet and Clank stuff.
Animation I've been working on lately:

Not sure if I have too many more changes to do, or if I'll just wrap it up and call it done. Any crits are welcome!
Hi, you guys are showing some great work. I' m currently working on a head of a pirate character. It is my first head ever since I didn' t felt ready enough to try it out. Maybe some of you guys have some tips. I find it hard to get the right shape for the parrot.
@Mezz- You got some real nice motion going on her hips. Feels like she's stomping forward at the beginning though, unless that was intentional, in which case carry on.
She's known as "Baroness Susana Ortega Von Boome" or "Susie Boome" for short...
Been working on this little lady for a while now. Got her to the point where she finally doesnt look too grotesque anymore. Still very WIP-ish though.

Looks great Willy, care to show wires and flats? i wish to know how you achieved this.
If you can find a place that allows the marriage of man and robot, you have my consent, but I doubt I'd be able to model that haha.
I heard that everyone has to model a barrel at least once.... So here is my barrel.
