@ kaptainkernals and WarrenMarshall, thanks guys! Appreciate it . As for the rest, there is too much good work popping up by the day ... s crazy really!
Awesome! It look like you've used the Brush>Curve>WrapMode mode fuction, but how did you get the edges so clean? Whenever I try using wrapmode every brush seems to work fine apart from the smoothing brush, it does work with the wrapping but it won't smooth out the edges at all. So the middle will be flat and the edges will still have deformation. Is there a setting I'm missing?
Thx I'm not sure if I understand you correctly. Do you mean that your smooth brush gives up and dosn't smooth at all or that it just smooths the borders of your mesh? The only setting I've set is the wrapMode 2. Holding shift and setting the wrapMode for the smooth brush..
Other then that it's trimSmoothBorder set to wrap 2
Excuse me while I drop the standard of the work with a shameless xpost of a WIP. Anyone with advice or tips that I should do or look at would be massively appreciated. Just a quick update I have decided to scrap the main tank body as I went hi-poly to quickly and its basically a mess. The rest is ok but the tank is just a pain in the behind.

Hi, this problem is probably because the faces are looking the other side, in 3d max when you do a render if you are looking the back of the face you cant see it. You only have to select those faces(those that are invisble) and search and option that it is "flip". If that object have 2 faces you have an option too(in think it was in object propterties), or you can do a box.
It's been forever since I have done any personal art. Here is a WIP render from a series I started a few weeks ago - still a lot of work left to do on it.

Hey thanks for the reply. I already know about the backwards facing :P. What I posted was literally half a tank xD. If you see my thread you can see the other half :poly142:. BTW any suggestions for stuff I should include or what would look cool, please let me know
Can't decide if I should put one last color correct on to cool off the colors, it's tinted a little warm right now, but I think for the time of day it's appropriate. Just not sure. Been at it too long.
@MattW Wicked improvement! Very clean render. The one little niche I have with it is the scale of the roofing tiles, but other than that you have my approval.
Temple Tomb update. Rendered in Marmoset Toolbag...I think I'm pushing the lil engine in area's not originally intended. Still need to fix lighting, materials and finish off the texture work. Debating on whether or not to use DOF in the final.
This thread is just squiring out good stuff now lately! Awesome coming to work in the morning and see all this. Daily inspiration dose achieved.
There's so much awesomeness on this thread; the level of skill on show from you guys is a constant inspiration.. So I thought I'd get my act together and post. Here's a few paintings I started a while back and recently picked up and finished again..second one is more of a speed painting..
Torch, looks cool but I would like to see the teeth deforming the jawline a little bit. Right now they just look like they're stuck on and not protruding from the jaw.
