And incase that scene is horrible, here's another one with different lighting.
I think the last image is the best out of the two. Just one thing though, it might be worth it to turn of the background image. I just wanna see your model without distractions
Cross-posting from my character thread; I joined the 1 of 8 paths contest at GA. I'm making a spy, he's wearing a cat-suit he's made himself to trick his enemies.. Still WIP;

Alright, sure, here it is. And, it's not my model, just my textures. Model is by Millenia.
Getting told by my peers to post, So here's what I've worked on the last couple of days. Apologies for the large image, I need to figure a better presentation method for long images like this.

Ah yeah I knew that, just didnt think about it.
Take my crits with a grain of salt. I'm just gonna say a bunch of things I'd do. Keep in mind that I'm a weapon fanatics worst dream. Accuracy isn't always my top priority (unless it's the kinda game that requires it).
Anyway, the new image is much better and it's much easier to see what you've done and I recommend that you show it off this way.
* Isn't it a bit to shiny? I don't know. Up to you guys to decide.
* The bright metal plate by the "bullet ejector" kinda stands out. I'd lower it a bit and add some brighter scratches.
* The wood is a bit to uniform. The other guy that did the gun had some pretty good wood. I dont recommend you copy ´him outright but maybe get some inspiration? Bump the brighter areas in the wood a little perhaps?
* Make the magazine a little bit more worn. Those guys are always flinged around alot and smacked into things. Often they are reused aswell and refilled. Some scratches at the top perhaps and on some of the edges that are standing out? That would be sexy.
thanksss! strash07- loving the punk cyborg mang. i would make those lines in her head look more shaved rather than the comb over look. the hair looks like its glued to her head. ferg- stellar scult dude. very funky design. really diggen it

Dear lord, this thread is beyond any bounds of awesome. I've got nothing very special, just a little Photoshop script I finished recently that should aid sprite artists out there!
Here's the main thread: http://www.polycount.com/forum/showthread.php?p=1574941
Cross posting from my own thread.
Finish the high resolution sculpt of the Diablo III Monk,
Started the low resolution
Comments and critics are more then welcome!!
ScoobyDoofus - Really nice skin tones and silhouette on that head. Which rendering engine did you use? How did you achieve the eye shader, if you don't mind?
I think I'll stop posting in my portfolio thread and start posting in this one. Hot out of the oven, another night elf bust:
really random rpg game stuff I started,
some basic standard races,
some environments.. maybe should have made those pics bigger
and some really simple creatures for now, didnt spend too much time on any of these
but it sure is a lot of fun to create worlds like this
for about a year ago I actually made a book with simular style that is a concept art book which is ment to be game related, thought that it might be fun to upload a pdf of that for people to see? let me know if anyone is interrested in seeing it, spent a lot of time on it back then, even though the pics are really outdated now and looks kinda bad, the book is 30 pages and have over 100 illustrat
ions if I remember right! So ye, let me know if anyone out there is interrested in seeing it!
MGrecke - hell yeah! Love the colors and style, definitely show us that PDF
Baolong - beautiful scene dude
tacit - <333333 that style
totally forgot I had this guy sitting around.... character sculpt from last year for a contract. Definitely not happy with the legs but eh, whatcha gonna do
rogelioD it looks alright but that normal map doesnt seem to be doing anything and your lowpoly has so many edges and loops in it that it actually is more like a highpoly mesh.
@Ged Thanks for the crit! I absolutely hate faceting, but at the same time you are right when you say it is quite dense. I'll have to see if I can optimize it further without ruing the "smooth" feel I was going for. (Note: Just did it... 500 tris down, got it to 1500 which is much better lol)
Put a few hours into this sucker yesterday night and this afternoon so the kismet is a little bit iffy in spots. It's basically just a first draft (in fact, i got it available if you guys wanna see the bare essentials!)
Using alot of UDK placeholders for now which will be replaced. Kinda wanted to mock something up quickly. The song is Big sky from Reverend horton heat.
(Im not ignoring you guys about the steering wheel, it's just that I haven't done the real low poly yet )

Visually it feels like you're trying to take the textures into this direction?

Notice the dirt by the ejector, that shit is hot.
Hope it's been helpful. As I said. These are just my thoughts and what I'd do. It doesn't make it correct.

HOLY ANTHROPOMORPHIC NORMAL MAP, batman!
that's sick! Looks like a hella fun hero. Are LoL chars normal mapped? Or do you use HP sources for occlusion?
or just concepting?
