Future-Fiction - thats ace, love how you do your eyes
duck - your cloth stuff is really cool, good job, love the beard haha
bit more progress on my ganondorf, frickin love ganondorf haha!!!! trying to explore the thief king side of him
WOW crazyfool. This guy looks freaking awesome. This is probably just me but he reminds me perhaps a little too much of your "Psymon Stark" character. Either way I really love it. I am excited to see more.
nice Ganondorf ,Crazyfool- i saw the psymon resemblance as well, no biggie still hot! poopinmymouth- Thanks!!
I accidentally saved over my old wip shot but here is the almost finished dark link progress.
Mrskullface : very nice love how you sculpted teeth
crazyfool : great start, looking forward to see the progress
Been playin' with some old low poly model, only diffuse 1024x1024 texture, took me a while since i was working whenever i could catch some free time, quite happy how he turned out at the end.Might do one more skin,so much fun just painting old school style
Im thinking about calling the high poly done, any crits or suggestions?
Hey biofrost. I've modeled this one before as well. The reason I'm posting mine is to show you an example of where your model could improve. You need to be using more separate geometry. This way you can get a lot more detail a lot easier, and it won't look like it just came out of a mold. Not tryin to bust your balls, just want to help you as an artist!
duck: love that sculpt. Cloth is really nicely done and he's a really intriguing looking skullface fisherman! The only thing that feels slightly off is the scale of the buttons - they look a little too large and toonish compared to the rest of the sculpt. Other than tha though it's marvellous.

Thank you! it actually is all separate geometry but It is not really pushed out very much. Good to see I can really bump it out more, looks like it back off to maya for me!
siiickkkkkkkkkkkkkk.
Are the beaufighter's cylinders really that stumpy? And no push rods? Exhaust manifolds?
Excuse my error if it doesn't have these things, i'm mostly familiar with ww1 and 1920s aero engines
Thanks
From my references they seem to be that stumpy, and from my brief internet research it doesn't appear to have push rods either
This is my main ref for the engine itself:
And this pic of a plastic modeled version came in handy too:
Aaaaaaaaaannnnndddd an update!
Now with more propellers! Still got some minor details to do, and some cabling, but it's getting there.

Also, don't feel like you have to make yours look exactly like mine. Concept art is always open to some interpretation. Good luck!
future-fiction: nice few changes you did at the end! really finished that up nicely.
duck: ! lovely anatomy and detail!
daphz: awesome as usual !
I am a shite character modeller and i only do it because i am pretty much the only artist working on my game projects! but here is something that was sorta semi finished (didnt finish due to deadline and other things oh and dont ask for wires or flats.... they are terrible and unoptimised! i think he weighs in at about 4k tris at the min! ;()
oh aaaand ma rough concept
I may just start a thread and spam all my unfinished unused art for game projects that i seem to collect up!
Warheart: Thx !
Nick Carver: I kindof like them that way though.
crazyfool: I love the style of your ganon. keep it up !
Alberto Rdrgz:
felipefrango: Sweet thx
Razorb: Nice bike its so cool with the bit flat surfaces and the mechanical stuff inbetween.
Oh yes, but once it was "done" aka uggly is shit. I'm just fiddling with the textures and stuff.. Real tiny stuff that doesn't really show. I WILL BE DONE... SOON!!!!

Baked the lowpoly of my Planetcracker! Two textures packs with normal/spec/diff/glow, some parts still need to be (re)baked. Just throw a basic material and some colors on it. Now its NDO time, creating more surface detail like on top of the "arm" in second picture.

I call BS on that. Those guys are great. They have a chunky weight to them that makes you really think they have place in whatever world they're in. You should definitively start a thread for your stuff!
I just finished my first video about customs brushes in zbrush, hope it will be usefull to someone and you can download my custom brush and try making some cracks yeahhh~
Looks a little smudgy, Mephiston. I'd give the bark at least another pass with a hard edged brush on low opacity, using what you have already to pick colours from. Try and crisp it up a little.
Trying to take some renders for my portfolio, but I can't tell if this is dark as shite or not.
In photoshop it looks bright, in firefox/explorer, it looks dark. Looks fine in marmoset tho.

Hey guys, first post here on polycount. Just wanted to show off what I've been working on
Meet the CARGOrilla bot. Done as a sparetime project. I designed it to look as if it was part of the Portal universe.
The bot has taken a liking to the companion cube, but was originally designed to shove heavy machinery or containers around. Draw in 12 hours with standart brush and texture brushes from Daarken.com
I'm currently working on a backdrop, so updates are comming
Hello, I'm new to polycount. I've been trying to absorb information from the wiki and all the amazing artists on the forum, but there is so much to learn!
Here's something I've been working on. Just a goldfish.
Jarrede, is that the vietnam zombie from House? Nice one, I love that movie.
Pretty early on for this one, but I wanted to put it up here, and see if it's worth it's own thread, or not. Still missing a lot of accessories (sooooooo many costume bits on this guy).
And the ref image...
Lot's of vagaries in there, like the right arm shoulder armor, how the robes end, exactly WTF is that goop on the wings, and the number one mystery, how the hell do I make his face?

Keep in mind, it's very WIP, the cylinder heads need some work, and I'm missing some substantial bits
poopinmymouth- Thanks!!
