I think seeing a multiple barreled shotgun for the heavy would be pretty cool, and fit in with his heavy weapon theme, but I'm not sure how it would tie into the defensive theme you have going.
Also, the weapon in the last screen you posted looks amazing. The helmet looks a bit too big, but otherwise just as good. Keep up the good work!
Volley guns (shotguns with multiple fire-linked barrel) were actually developed as defensive weapons for repelling boarders on sailing vessels and protecting stagecoaches from bandits.

Well you know what they say, "the best defense is blowing all who dare oppose you in half with a septuple-barreled shotgun."
Hey Buck, that looks great; I'd love to see that in game. Maybe you could add some external features that make it look like an automatic shotgun!
I like the sights on this one.
Jagged line looks better but I think it'd be fine without any line at all. It doesn't really seem like it has a purpose other than to add something else to the texture. Hat textures are supposed to be simple and without this squiggly line you've got the texturing nearly perfect in my opinion.
Can you add a protective trigger guard thats pretty large so it fits over the heavies figures? Or maybe just a hand guard to cover his whole hand? I think it would fit better with your "defensive" theme if you do that.
That looks sweet! Probably the first shotgun I've seen here that doesn't have something tacted on needlessly. How would it look when he pumps it, though?
Looks like the foregrip from a semi auto shotty. Are you going to be doing new animations for that thing since it probably wouldn't be able to use the stock pump animation?
A small shield on the shotgun would tie it in. (I mean really small, like a guard - I know it would be a similar feel to the minigun but it could be very unique and distinctive nonetheless. Clear bulletproof glass perhaps?)
They made shields with basic guns in them in the medieval ages when they started experimenting with gunpowder-

Maybe since it appears to be an automatic shotgun, he could hold a riot shield in his other hand?
The pump is based off KS-23, the bigger part of the pump slides over the main part of the gun along the little rail you can see there so yes, it is pump action. Will work on it more when im back from work.
Im not really liking the shield idea myself, looks bit too clumsy and would end up hiding the weapon most of the time too. Anyway here is some more progress. Is the silhoutte more interesing now? Ofcourse the strap would be jiggle-boned
Nice. Much more interesting silhouette. May I suggest some kind of custom paint job? Something to spruce up the texture a bit. I'm thinking something like WWII fighter plane art. Perhaps a pinup girl on the stock?
(I know you haven't actually textured it yet, just thinking ahead.)

Technically, that's a pepperbox, not a volley gun- it only fires one barrel at a time. Still pretty cool though.
That's why you have that giant central hammer there.

Check out the barrel on this one
That last one is my favorite!
Excellent.
it has potential...
Seems like i might have to make the mask longer to keep jaw from peeking out. And do you like this texture better?
Jagged line better?
Or some porting?
Sawn-off stock with duct tape?
Magazine sticking out the bottom?
Forward grip?
Screw-on choke?
Right now it's just a larger shotgun with a cracked stock.
Thats it for today. Thanks for the ideas xeno
I LOVE SHOTGUNS!

YEAH!
