fool! the sandvich is his partner and A DAMN GOOD COP! :poly118:
this is what the sandvich is...and always will be...
the stereotypical "badarse cop with a vengence and a taste for blood, satisfying your hunger...FOR REVENGE!"
it has no real emotional ties with the heavy since it is not a "gun" and Is really more like that pal you go out "pubbing" with...and he is a damn good cop.
ok... then back onto subject i like the strap broken it makes it unique although will it clip with his legs also great wepon ideas and i love the mask
I would like a stripe on the weapons, much like the first one had.
and I feel you should remove the kill count on the side...It is ...to be honest...ugly.
but If the masses say otherwise may I stand corrected and confused.
Got the shotgun fully unwrapped yesterday. So you should expect a lot of texture content and in game shots for all items later today when I'm back from work!
Progress on the texture, looks pretty bland and washed out though, might just be the renderers fault. I think i should add more brush strokes. Also i might go for the red stripe on all of my items to spice it up a bit.
The stripe does seem a little strange to me... perhaps a different placement than down the rail? Maybe 2 stripes going down either side of the top of the barrel. Some color would definitely add to the gun and make it easier to recognize, but I don't think that stripe quite fits.
I'm not making any more changes to the model Chiff. And i'm gonna be redoing the whole texture again tomorrow because when i removed the second strap it freed up quite a bit of space so i had to re-pack the UV's to make best use of the space.
The stripe on your shotgun is like communism, the idea is neat but it doesn't work out. Although I would like to see it maybe a bit more subtle somewhere else maybe.
The stripe I mean, not communism.
i love the idea, but i think you might be adding a bit too much to it, probably get rid of the broken strap all together, and the stripe is just out of place.. honetly, it looked better in the early stages of design then what it looks like now
I agree the red stripe on top of the shotty looks a little out of place, however it does help to lend nice continuity between the items. I say keep it but move it to the pump or round the end of the stock.
I don't think it'd be visible in first person, Heavy has some huge hands. Then again, I don't think any of the stripes in this pack are visible in first person.
He holds the shotgun very strangely and his hand rests underneath it. Should be visible. Keep in mind this shotgun is much larger than the default as well.
View using that TF2 real time shader in max. Textures come out way brighter than they actually are in photoshop, especially the dark metal. Too dark? Just fine? Keep the wood like this?
I think you should keep the reddish-ness, but tone it down a bit, it brings an interesting and unique look to the shotgun.
And i think the stripe should go horizontally down both sides of the pump.
Now that is pretty awesome. The only thing that bothers me slightly is the octagonal shotgun shells, but that's a pretty small complaint. This gun looks just about done.
Thats what i'm working on now Svdl, but i just cant get the viewmodel animations to work right, on some animations everything is fine, but on others you can only see the hands and the weapon is floating out miles away but still doing the animations, just in the wrong position.
First in game shots. All i need to do now is figure out them jigglebones, i dont want the strap to flail around too much but i need it to fall over enough to look realistic while reloading, and taunting. Cause now when you taunt the strap stays vertical and just sways side to side a bit
Are you sure that you don't want the red stripe on the shotgun? Cause it seems like it would make the viewmodel more interesting, and help to differentiate it from the basic shotgun even more.
Or maybe have two strips going along the sides of the barrel.
Well it wont hurt to try. I will try stripe on the pump and on sides of the barrel tommorow when i'm back from work. For now i am going to sleep and possibly dream up some more ideas. Things i have to do

the soldier in "meet the spy" does a faceplant onto the gun...
It's good to see someone's making a new shotgun for the heavy.
I knew it would.
Shame you have to redo the texture now.
For example:

Nice decision with the single strap. Just get rid of the stripe.
something about it just doesn't look right on the rail.
BTW, will the stripes be team-colored?
The stripe I mean, not communism.
yeah thats feels about right
Good model though.
The metal works tho
