Yeah, great episode. The ending completely caught me off because I forgot the intro. Damn. Crazy. Crazy GOOD.
I kept wondering how that kid would fit in. I was beginning to think that he found that tarantula right next to their containers, and they were uncovered by his bikes tire spin, or something like that.
I was thinking though, wtf was that kid just sitting there for?
I was also kind of expecting the train to start rolling, and that guy falls off and dies. He kept feeling like a red shirt throughout the episode
Bloody amazing episode. Edge of my seat. Characters didn't feel 'cartoony' like they did last week. Brilliant episode. The post guys did a great job on the colours too, beautiful on my Mac Air screen.
That was a great episode. The heist was very tense and exciting. I assumed the thing with the kid at the start was in the future like some of the other openings.
Remember guys that he's one of the people working at the bug bombing place that's pretty much completely house thieves. He's been a client of Saul's for a while then. That would be some pretty dang deep cover.

Maybe the police were about to pull him out of that two-bit burglary operation sting, then this massive opportunity landed in their laps. That would be interesting. Unlikely though, as we see Walt is still a free man a year from now. Unless of course, that M60 is for the 'undercover cop' and his buddies.
Hmm... speaking of 'stings'. Now that I think about it, that conversation Lydia had with Hank... was a bit forced... really hung around the topic of stings and operations like that... hmm...
Lots of twists with the real intentions of people here. I still don't trust that woman that almost got killed... she seems bad. The other guy.. i also thought he was gonna end up dead on the train or something. Maybe they are trying to build his character more.
I miss Gus! He was a really cool character to have around
Yeah there doesn't seem to be much threat from any other druglords at this point in the series..it seems as though the only one that can really burn him is his ticking timebomb of a Wife
I think one of the main threads that is going to come full circle is how Walt threw Jesse's girl friend's son under the bus via the lilly of the vally. Jesse`s loyalty is unwavering, and reveal of that detail would certainly change their dynamic. I wouldn't be suprised if this last incident with the kid in the desert is the catalyst towards that reveal.
The thing I`m most interested to see, is what happens when Walt jr. finds out whats going on.
In this case, life is imitating art: "The Tuscaloosa County Sheriff's Office has placed Walter White on their priority list of the county's most wanted," The Tuscaloosa News reports. "White, 55, was on probation for a 2008 charge of making methamphetamine when he was arrested on similar charges in Bibb County earlier this year."
His "most wanted" page on the sheriff's website is here.
As fans of AMC's Breaking Bad can tell you, "Walter White" is the "high school chemistry teacher and father of two" who turns into a producer of the highest-quality meth in New Mexico. He's also become, over the show's five seasons, rather skilled at killing those who get in his way. (He's played by actor Bryan Cranston.)
If the real Walter is anything like the TV Walter, we suggest it would be best to call the sheriff rather than try to approach him.
If Hank doesn't find out, I'll be extremely disappointed.
Remember the first couple minutes of this season though? Walt buys a bunch of guns. Last stand, kinda thing. I have a feeling Hank finds out and tells Walt he'll give him a head start, and the show ends with Walt in a shootout, and dies...
That's how this seasons will end. They'll arrest the other Walter White! Seriously though, I'm not sure the season will end in a shootout. The buying the gun at the start of the season, Walt watching the end of Scarface and loving it, the "You're not Jesse James" reference. It's been way too telegraphed. Walt would love it to end that way but I think the writers are far cleverer and have something else planned.
"swear on your children lives"
I'm pretty sure this will lead to something bad later in this season.
Yeah, I'm pretty sure your right with that call. She's out to save number1- by the way she talks & of course the actions she's taken already... I can see her nabbing the kids, or worst, as a means to save her own skin.
Can't wait for tonight! Especially for the fall out between Jesse and the new guy. Woooo it's goin to be good
Walt's been pretty interested in getting rid of mike. Maybe he'll try and hire the kid killer to take him out?
3 more episodes and then we have to wait til next summer for it to wrap up. . Show is still great and I love how the intensity is ramping to match walt's spiral into shitheadedness.
Does anyone else smell a double cross?
Walt wants to keep his empire going(obviously with less competition) and the other two want money & a quick exit from the business. I see them setting up an ambush with the buyers-Which might help to explain why Walt was buying weapons at the beginning of the season, and promised that the weapons wouldn't leave the area...

I think Walt will at some point reach out to the new dude for his contacts and everything goes tits up as a result. Be it a war with the dudes who want "Gus' Blue stuff" off the market, or a war with Mike and Jessie. However it does turn out, it'll be fun to watch as always.
No need for spoiler tags, since it's just speculation.
I think he's getting the gun, because he's going to take down the other guys. Possibly, he works out a deal with them, and screw him on the deal, so he decides to take them out.

Walt buying weapons at the beginning of the season was a year from now. It was his 52nd Birthday.
Yeah who knows what that machine gun is for. I could see that being something they come back to at the series finale, as opposed to the mid-season finale.
I looved the dinner scene with Jesse and Skyler. Things could have gone WAAY worse. She is soooo on the verge of doing something brash. Having to admit to cheating on Walt as a cover for whats really going on felt like the last straw.
Of course. Every time an explanation comes from Walt, he makes it sound like Skyler did something wrong, or at the least, makes him look like a victim. He's ego has become his own worst enemy.
Lol, that'd be awkward. I half-expected Skyler to start playing footsie w Jesse under the table. Everyone is out of control now. Jesse seems like the sanest person on the show these days. Yes, the same guy who shot the nerd in the face and went to rehab to sell meth to addicts. Funny how things change.
I was actually expecting(hoping?) that Jesse and Skyler would get a moment alone and Jesse would say something like "He scares the crap outta me Mrs. White." Then just a flash of shock or relief on her face before the scene cut.
hahah i loved how awkward and fake it was, and the looks on jesse's face as he tried to force conversation hahaha. also that smug as fuck look on walts face at the end was groovy.
Those connections from the new guy (Todd) seem to make sense now. Didn't he say he had friends or family in jail?
I imagine there will have to be some sort of mutual agreement, or sacrifice by Walt, to receive help from Todd's people. Can't imagine taking out 9 guys, in prison, will come easily or cheaply
Glad to see Skyler taking a limited role in this episode...

I thought he was a cop the whole episode. Then I was all "Nope, guess he's not a cop"
or MAYBE he`s an evil cop who saw that as a perfect chance to solidify walts trust.

All the major druglords in Mexico are dead. Gus saw to that before he misplaced half of his face.

[edit: I can also see jesse losing it...]

I hope to hell that's how it ends.

He did, as well as Gustavo.

Still don't understand why Walt can't cook by himself. Didn't Jesse cook by himself for the cartel w everyone watching?
Less profit, I guess.
