good to see theres really good stuff in here, both 2d & 3d... seriously by looking the posts I am surprised by the talent of many polycounters, I am sort of new to polycount, but I'll try to post some of my wip's as well... hope you like them
wow Gauss those weapons are so bizarre! Makes me wonder how practical they are. Probably more of a novelty and collectors items now than anything
PogoP: that hi poly wall looks great, and I agree that it would be best if you just baked that down to a flat plane with the ledge popping out for best results. Let the normal map and ao take care of the rest

Catstyle: that weapon looks good. As for making it look better in marmo I'd say really reduce the blue on your spec(should be desaturated completely imo), up the gloss and tone down any contrast you have for your metal in your spec. That will give it a nice smooth, shiny metal look. This is all entirely up to how you want your metal to look, but for a standard metal those are my recommendations
and here Ive updated the textures and material properties, and spent the afternoon working with it. so freakin tired now...
You've still got too much scraping imo, and you've got scraping in impossible areas (like that crevice behind the rear sight block on the top of the dust cover, and right underneath the dust cover on the lower receiver). In general, where AO and grime would go, scratches would not.
little jumping spider I'm working on, pretty sure the anatomy ref I used isn't a jumping spider now that I look at it, so with that the abdomen is probably too large, easy fix
This guy has been extremely challenging for me because I'm deathly afraid of spiders.....so researching him has been pretty awkward (especially the closeup picture of some spiders mouth ). Thought about starting a thread where everyone has to model something they are afraid of, thought it might be kinda cool, but wasn't sure :P
Its that a Micro Scar? the modeling looks good soo far, but the gun looks like if it was mising lots of parts.
Its just a standard scar actually, but this time for some reason i have blocked out a few areas, and i am now throwing details in. I usually just block out each section first, but i think i am going to do that now.

Clouds Ultima Weapon, almost done with the high poly, just got one more thing to model on the handel, then im taking it into zbrush and adding some detail
Im Realy Enjoying how Sculptris works, Its just amazing, I just made a Quick stone to test and painted it on Sculptris to Bake the base texture with it too, and the results were very good.
Im starting to love this program , the only thing that i would like to see is a Clone tool like in photoshop and some other simple stuff but its great.

A quick blockout, base metal done. Baaaaaad ambient occ and diff as spec. Kodde shader - maya viewport.
Messing around with this dragon lair paints. Still need to make the dragon more interesting.

might get some damage from removing and replacing the dust cover there tho, otherwise i agree

It can take sometime to load, its a Gif animation.
this is about 3 hours or so.
still need to ad some other fruits and i think some walnuts will go in there as well.
pear looks a lil yellow in this render, prol need to photoslop it.
