nice head scoob! As for crits, it's a little weird how the nostril terminates into the dimple above the upper lip... and the back of the neck has kind of a weird angle to it. Lookin great overall though.
Your digital painting is lovely. I liked the fish the best, the lighting on it was excellent and well-blended. The broccoli seemed like you put less effort into it though, is that an accurate assessment?
You captured the style quite excellently! It's almost too bad there isn't some sort of single-player campaign or something, because I can entirely envision that being an NPC.
some sloppy armour blocking in here, goin for some kind of woodland theme
crazyfool - your getting a good sense of weight and overall shape in your cloth experiments, but for the folds themselves, i think you need to be smoother and also a bit clearer with the the forms. its the hard edged kind of effect you have going in places that makes it look more like a sculpt than an actual pair of jeans. dont make the forms toooo clear though, or it starts looking manufactured. im guilty of this, and need to go back and rework my gunslingers jeans in places
Duck, I'll admit I didn't like your characters much at first, but the more I looked at them the more I loved the amount of personality each of them had. This one looks as great as the others, awesome work dude !
also, that block at the top back of the grip would totally ruin ergonomics and it looks bad, especially from 1p view
I agree that the hammer is too thin. Perhaps you should look at some reference material for handguns. I would also agree that the back-strap isn't very ergonomic...
...However Kitteh, I have say that perhaps you want to ixnay comments about how things look silly or bad. I don't think you meant to poke anyone in the ribs but keep in mind that kind of language can turn a critique session sour fast.
Definalty nice fuse, but I feel like maybe the lips are too puckered? Maybe make the lips a bit more relaxed, or maybe a bit fuller (personal taste though).
Brandon... lookatchu all black and white looking away from the camera, I should get one as well.
the andgle of the room looks a bit off relative to what's outside the window, at the moment everything in the rooms just going to be sliding toward the window.
no its still very early the fireplace and window are just photoshoped boards for what will go there eventually...check the link in the post for more info
WIP of the fast purple ship, planning on either taking it into zbrush and using hard surface tools for the high poly, or try and learn how to do super clean hard surface like so many of you guys do, in maya... On the fence atm.
Awesome stuff guys, thanks for forfulling my night awesomenss and head with inseration, just went from page 1 to 171, and it's all epic stuff. I want to try some but I'm discouraged, don't want to end up like rawtalent did there. Anyway, thanks again hope to see some more amazing things and maybe some of my own?
Slaught: i love the concept tag cat knight. happy to see a 3d piece come out of that thread.
crazyfool: digging the drapery studies
duck: for serious great character work, glad to see it continue.
big to do over the weekend but i'm back at it now. WIP Chiappa Rhino: fires from the bottom cylinder, designed by the same guy that worked on the Mateba apparently. love its chunky profile. more details left related to the action but it's a lot further along than i realized.
I don't think i ever posted these, i did these about a year ago for a TF2 map that never was.
I might get this going again perhaps.
Very cool! I love the simplicity:) I always find it hard to get a nice looking object with just a few hard strokes. You have more to show? (your talking about a map)
Hey Guys, I'm new here and would just like to say you have some awesome artists in here.
Heres a highpoly 1964 Holden EH I have been working on for ages now.

Nice Andy. All these pilots of yours really needs something to pilot. Jet packs and baggy pants don't go that well together
Really nice gun raider, love the design, maybe just needs butching up in places like already said maybe the hammer aswell
ok heres the last of the cloth studies Im doing for a bit
badass folds crazy, what type of material is it? since it has some pretty hard edges i'm guessing not silk / satin etc

EDIT: oh damnit, what's a good imagehost? i've used tinypic up until recently when they made you input a captcha-code to upload anything.
Belly button looks a little blurry....

Use your ftp or some image hosting site :
http://imageshack.us/ This one for example
And in your post you just have to put the url that way : [ img]URL_OF_YOUR_IMAGE[ /img] (delete the spaces before img and /img)

Sweet! Thanks alot
Cool gun! Did you model it with multiple meshes and did you use bump map for the handle section?

I'm trying to use sculptris as sketch/character design tool. Here's a quick maintenance guy concept:
Update: 500'000 strands of hair now. Little bit better sampling (1,0 triangle2x2).
i was just thinking today that sculptris would be ideal for concept sculpts !
