did a lot of re-working the original model from the last post. Changed the lock plate and started to texture some parts. it has a cube map on it now so excuse the chromeness.
Adina took him from me and worked a bit further on the textures, i started setting up shaders, struggling with udk, should play around with lightmass next
looks great daniel, for a crit I would say the vertical pipes on the building on the right side could have a more interesting texture... maybe a grayish metal with some rust, get some interesting spec map action going? Unless that's a telephone pole, in which case... needs more wood
Woog looking good, but it seems your losing a lot of detail in that shot with the dof stuff your doing.
agree with this plus the shadows are a bit harsh woog especially considering theres alot of fur involved, those dark edges just make him look like a plaster mold.
this seems to be the consensus on ga as well ok well the submissions link still isnt up so when i get home ill turn the dof off, thanks for the crits, i defiantly needed a second opinion on it. thanks again!
ged: yea i kinda got the feel of it starting to look like a miniature from it as well. ill see what i can do to soften that up
undoz: Looks awesome! only crit would be that the area of the back just above the butt crack looks a bit odd at the moment, i think maybe it drops off too suddenly
Undoz: pretty fantastic as per usual from you! Is that Zbrush? if so, how did you manage to get those great shadows? Mine always look a bit crap in the viewport...
Neox: that's awesome!
The darkness is from the style I'm pushing towards. It's my take on Death from Sandman
ScoobyDoofus: Yes, it's zbrush. Put a real time shader, switch the rendering type to Best and play with the light direction, shadow length etc. It's very basic.
Daniel: The pole on the far right looks like a cardboard tube and the AC needs some grime or dirt or something, other than that it looks really good...definitely a place to take a fire team...
Neox: Outstanding as always...is this for Airborne?
3dLam: Pure win..I also didn't care for the gut shape as it appears to square at the bottom and doesn't match my own overhanging the belt...dang to much info...lol.
Sorry for the two posts in close succesion, but I ended up tweaking some stuff and adding a nose (again. it had a nose in the speedsculpt)
Let me know which you prefer, and any comments you might have:
i think the chunkiness of the batman looks just right. he has a total wrestler build, which i think works awesomely and makes him look very old school. like 1930s old school
Odium: he still looks sleepy to me...or maybe i'm sleepy..
Ark: Thanks, man.I used a likeness of Tobin Bell that i did some time ago and gave up on him.
Last render of him. I'm getting tired of looking into his eyes.He can see your soul...

carzyfool: love how clean it looks, but shouldn't his coat have a bit more spec?
undoz: nice as always, too bad that the shadow is sooo dark
Neox: that's awesome!

@ Neox - I love the colors! how did ya get that bit of SSS in there?
@ crazyfool - that is one nice-ass bake
The gut area looks weird, I'm going to have to watch that movie again.

Yellow up that fur some Neox...around the base of the neck/ sleeves maybe.
Is that going to be death from sandman?
Been working on a Junji Okubo design these last few days, still very WIP.
I know he's been done before, but I wanted a go at him anyways, original design viewable HERE.
Undoz, i think i love uzzzzz
The thing that made the picture, click for new track & colour, press a key for clear.
Made in processing.
Starting work on polishing up a speedsculpt. Might change radically still, I'm not entirely pleased with the shapes yet.
Haha, that's exactly what came to my mind when I saw it. Awesome work the last few pages.
Awesome man, reminds me of Tobin Bell, especially around the eyes.

CAN"T SAY! I've got an NDA with myself
just base colors... will probably do one lass pass on the high poly before I do anything with the low.
