Looks like a very characteristically strange woman..or a man w/ small boobs. Transgender?
I can't say that's the first time I hear comments like that one; but I'm still rather clueless . What, in particular, looks terribly masculine to you, if I may ask?

Mostly te chest/shoulder/upperarm part, i think. If I'm not mistaken women have more angled clavicles. A quick google gave this.
Also, the torso part is really small compared to the rest of the body parts (in all 3 axes).
There's also some other things that feel off, but i'm not exactly sure what. This image of skeletons might help.
Looks good Calix. Though it looks like you have double-layed sarratus anterior muscles along with the obliques. Creating 3 vertical sheaths. At least that's how it looks at this angle. Plus the shape of the ribcage, as a whole, seems under-defined. There are some other slight proportional issues, but on the whole it's a good sculpt.
build. not really the right proportions he was a bit skinnier wasn't he?
hes pretty nice, but some shapes could definitely be more like the ref, andys work is really inspiring
Wanted to create some sort of Cerebral-Bore.
(Turok, I realy miss such crazy weapons in nowadays games.)
I will create a model for the projectile next, thinking abbout something like a little octopus-bot.
YES!! I totally agree with you. How fucking awesome were those games too? (turok 1 n 2) Some of the best weapons I've ver seen in a video game! Ahhh the good ol days....
Thanks for the comments, thanks for the crits Neox and yes Andy's work is wicked.
I wasn't going for a exact likeness, just more of a inspired recreation.
Lots to improve upon anyways, I actually prefer penrods version to mine.
Was more of an exercise than anything, I've called quits on this piece and am working on something more exciting atm.
played Mass Effect again and just started Mass Effect 2. i took a break from getting my ass handed to me by giant mechs to make a low poly krogan. sitting right around 540 right now

Random barrel for the portfolio. I plan on hand painting the textures eventually as a little practice :poly121:

Holy crapola! How do you do that pixely shading? It's super awesome.
Little hardsurface practice. The topology of the tip took me some thoughts.
My online 3D portfolio will be updated very soon...
reminds me of yoshimitsu. I have the feeling this guy is missing a sword. Or two.
Nice work.
