looks awesome! I thought it was a second concept for a second then and had to re-read it's the 3D maybe the wood is a tad red though, maybe add some yellows or desaturate it a tad to match the concept. I think it would pick up some nice light and highlight colours if you are still going to add the green bulbs.
Turpedo, I really love this design but I'm not entirely feeling the transition to 3d. You have some really beautiful curved lines going on in the drawing and then then 3d seems really straight and linear.
looks great turp, only thing is the telescope looks like it's aimed more at the user's crotch region instead of the head. That's assuming this is a telescope, of course.

and judging from the angle of the sun, its pretty close to burning a hole through said crotch. which is hilarious and i actually like that... but reminds me to tell all the kids out there, never stare at the sun with your crotch through a large telescope.
This is my first time posting. I dont know if this is how you post. Im working on my own concepts so here is what I am working on. Comments and tips are welcomed.
Heyyy thanks for the input guys . Didn't you hear? Its just a giant crotch scope!
This will probably be my last update post since I dont want to spam this thread with it. I changed the lighting, telescope angle, and camera angle. Hope you guys like this version better!
My only critique on the cleaver is there would be more splatter. Think about the splatter pattern as the cleaver is slammed into a chunk of meat. Normal force, equal and opposite reaction and all that.
aesir: Nope, I just posed it tonight (which is why there's clipping errors and floating bits and weird bulges all over the place).
I've exported the lowest subdivision from Transpose Master into Max, rigged it with Biped so I can easily pose/animate the base mesh and bring it back into ZBrush.
So now I just need to settle on a good final pose, and do the final sculpting pass in this position. Up until this point it's all been neutral T-posed, and a fair bit of it is mirrored (hands, forearms, legs and feet). I will try to sculpt more unique folds, stretches and muscle positions once I've settled on the final pose.

cheers!
keizza - Those black and whites look good on my screen. I like the bottom left one the best .
Concept to 3d (Changed some things during the transition from 2d to 3d and still WIP!)
Top-Right and Bottom-Left are rad

Gotta adjust the neck slightly. Polycount:5,168
I love the proportions and your use of colour. Looks no worse than official TF2 art.
his head looks too big, his back muscles look odd and he needs more soldier blades.
whoa thanks for the positive comments ! makes me feel like the time was not wasted ;D
turpedo, awesome conversion into 3d - i'm totally loving all the strong colors you used in the scene !
looks like the half-life 1 concepts in raising the bar (good stuff!)
tf2 tractor is ace!

I recently finished the Cg Workshop : Modern Game Character Creation with Jonathan Rush (excellent class btw)
I started my second game-res character last week and thought I'd share
Not really far on the body just yet, thought I'd focus on the face first before moving on to other parts.
It's supposed to be Red Robin from the Batman Universe.
Feedback very much appreciated
So ill dumb it down some!
real nice tension on those muscles,
even the muscle fat balance in that chest area is working out
Jackwhat - Your ideas seem to be getting more and more interesting... good stuff
That is one sexy beast.
Giving 3dcoat a spin:
all crates on 1 512 and all barells on 1 512
both have destructible states
