Anyone else looking forward to this with an *unusual* amount of expectancy? Everything shown so far seems spot on.

I am excited for this and I don't even own a ps3...yet. I played the crap outta the first one, which is rare because Im not into shooting type games too much. But it was so spagetti western I fell in love with it. Soundtrack on the first was amazing as well.
Hope they keep the same vibe as the first with this one.

Just finished watching all of the videos on their website and wanted to say I think they've nailed 'how' to showcase a game in a trailer.

There's a place for theatrical whiz-bangery, but when you want to deliver the straight-up goods doing it this style is, I believe, the absolute best. I literally have no questions about the game after watching those videos besides How do you save your game?* and Can I change my outfits?*

*It's got this GTA feel to it so I am wondering if there's 'safe houses' or what have you.

Anyway, awesome. It's jumped to my #1 most anticipated title.

Its a catch 22.

If a good game, will just reinforce the bad management style used to create versus seeing it did good in spite of bad management. If a bad game, will lead to the unemployment of our fellow workers. Without the connection necessarily getting through to leaders of the management style that failed.

yeah this seems pretty similar to gun, and i loved gun, i think i was the only person ever to have liked gun, but anyways i'll be picking this up and playing it and stuff i think.

Yeah, sorry for derailing the thread. I'm planning on buoycotting the game based on principal.

I wish there was some other way to show my disapproval to the management, but approval of the art some other way, but I don't want to support their awful business practices. Maybe rent it.

That's a pretty odd way to show your disapproval of their methods. The game doesn't sell well and now the people who were treated shitty also have a low selling game on their hands. It's a slap in the face, then a kick to the balls really $:\$

The will still get paid though wont they?

Its just the company and managers that will lose out with the money.

But it is a bit silly to not buy it, you cant win that way and its nothing to do with us, its up to the artists and those involved to deal with it. If they want to be treated like they appear to be or think they have no power thats up to them.

But yeah this doesnt look bad from the trailer I though it was going to be similar to that other wild west fps, but its more like an open world Oblivion type fps.

That looks pretty solid.

I don't think a boycott would mean shit from us, and neither would buying it like crazy.

I also thought GUN was a pretty fun game, if pretty shallow. This looks like a more in depth version of it, so I'll probably nab this.

Actually, first when I saw this, I expected a gun type thing with better graphics, but this just looks magnificent.

I'm totally buying this..

EDIT: @Adam: from looking at the official site, then yes, you can change outfits, and even mustaches, it seems.

I had zero interest in this game, but the trailer made me interested.

However I wasn't really a big fan of GTA4, but this looks far more action-oriented than GTA4's (boring) sim-like stuff. Also the western setting is a nice change from the typical modern/futuristic/fantasy/space/medieval themes.

I've been watching these as they've come out, it looks really great.

What struck me as odd, though, is that the guns sound like the AK sounds from CS. Well it's not odd, it's from a sound library, it's just that I instantly think "AK" when I hear it.

This game looks unbelievably badass. The costume design is pure awesome and I'm absolutely stunned at the way the horses leg muscles contract. Seriously... how the fuck!? Gahhhh this is so full of win its not even funny! Hopefully the guys and gals at Rockstar San Diego can get some much deserved rest and restitution when this finally drops.

I'm not a fan of rockstar at all. I don't like their games, or their work practices, and I REALLY don't get their hard-on for gangs in their games, but whatever. Still, this game looks slick. I don't care about open-world this-n-that, but I guess it's only as open-world as you want it to be. If this does come to the 360 I'll probably pick it up. A western style game sounds like it could be fun, I'll check into Gun, and Call of Juarez. Never played either of them, but heard good things...

At first I wasn't super impressed..never been a big fan of Sandbox style games..but After watching the Multiplayer trailer, I am completely blown away and really looking forward to this. I want to ride that donkey.

oh ok i see, awesome! so they would use it for like a face animation so the wrinkles show up when they smile or w/e, then go away when expression returns to default.

Hoopla!, Seems like thats how they did the contractions for the horses muscles as well. They look amazing.
