Greetings everyone!
My name is Bogdan (you can call me Bob for short) and I'm an university student studying programing with all kinds of languages, but I found myself quite intrigued by 3D(the building aspect of it) and from my searches this seems to be the best community for it.
Here's to a great stay!
I'm currently studying at university hoping to become a character artist within the games industry. My skills mainly lie with 2d but I'm currently expanding and progressing to 3d.
I am a freelance artist who have known about Polycount for a long time, but only now signed up for an account, in order to participate in the mixamo contest. I hope to be a part of this community of artists.
Hello, I'm Frakenz and I just started watching some tutorials about modeling yesterday. I hope I can learn enough to participate in the Dota 2 contest.
Hello, I'm a college student going for a major in Multimedia design. I joined hoping to do some work with the dota2 contest (and with almost no prior experience)
We'll make our introductory post short and sweet, however my name is Aaron and I just stumbled upon this site while searching for ways to get started in model creation. That does indeed mean that I've never used any of the tools to create so this will be an interesting journey learning what I need to. My goal for this is to have a submission for the Polycount contest that is being done in collaboration with Valve's Dota 2, though I'm not expecting much out of it. Please feel free to converse with me about anything, as while I may not have a background in model creation or animation, I do have a diverse background in art as well as most any other subject. Thanks, and have a great day!
Hi! I'm currently a Computer Science student from Sweden with a passion for game development as a whole. I have mostly been making a lot of 2d stuff before but turned my sights on 3d 2-3 years ago and I must say it is most intriguing, I have been looking for a good and active community for some time now and through yours and Valve's Dota 2 modeling contest it seems that I struck gold.
I hope I can learn a lot from you guys! Sincerely Kristoffer (Christopher).
This is my first post. I am looking forward to participating in the Dota 2 competition. I made this account just for the occasion so please review my work as I post it, thanks
Hey everyone I'm Craig and I'm currently studying 3D Digital Graphics at Rochester Institute of Technology. I've come for the Dota 2 contest and I'm going to stay for the great community!
Hi there Polycount! I've been in the games industry for almost 4 years now. After I had a 7 month stint doing junior Design work - gameplay scripting and the like - I've been hooked, and now I'm desperate to generate a UDK level design portfolio to land a full time gig. I'm eager to talk with all you passionate and knowledgeable folks!
Hello everyone! My name is Kim Zhu, and I'm also a 3D artist. I've come here to participate in the Dota 2 contest, but to also be inspired and hopefully meet all the amazing 3D artists in this community.
Hi! I'm Jeff, and I've only just recently gotten started in 3D modelling, but I hope to be able to finish learning the ropes of it and potentially enter into the Dota 2 contest soon, as well as enter into another project or two in the near future (:
Hey, my name is Jason and I'm currently taking some courses regarding 3D animation. I'm new to this though, so I was hoping to be active in this community in order to help improve my skills. I also make 2D games!
I am an industrial design student from the US that will be graduating next year. After 3 years in the program and a few internships in the UX Design field, industrial design just doesn't seem to have quite the appeal anymore. Since switching majors isn't the most economical solution these days, I'm diving headfirst into the world of game modeling, and its all going to start here
A quick intro, my name is Patrick and I want nothing more than to become part of the community, participate in contests and get valuable input to the work I am doing. I will be making posts about them very soon!
Hey guys, I'm actually a 2d artist working in feature film (currently the hobbit), but I use to do 3d as a generalist so i'm quite familiar with it and do it as a hobby / on the side (currently mainly doing dota items)
Hello Polycount! I'm a concept artist in the video game industry and am looking to compete in the Dota 2 contest with a buddy of mine. Can't wait to contribute to the forum!
