Hello and nice to meet you polycount. I'm joining here because of the Mixamo contest and also because I have some friends here who recommended this to me, take care of me!
I'm an undergraduate-soon-to-be-graduated from visual design major. I'm very interested in 3D modelling, and unfortunately my major doesn't teach anything about it.
I'm a big BIG fan of Dota 2, and want to contribute something to it. So here I am, willing to learn everything about making cosmetics for Dota 2.
Hello! I heard of this site because of the Dota 2 contest. I'm currently studying games design and the many disciplines involved at Griffith University. I enjoy my CGI class more than any other, so I feel this would be a great site to follow and I might make a submission for this contest!
Gudday. Mavell Duceau here, 3d artist of dubious qualifications.i've made a few items for the data 2 workshop, not that any have been completely accepted yet. I primarily made this to enter the dota 2 item set contest, but I promise to lurk around for other things too
Environment artist and long time lurker here. I love working with all sorts of tools from Mudbox and 3ds Max to undeservedly overlooked SketchUp, have experience with all sorts of engines from awesome CE3 to less than awesome (ok, unspeakably horrifying) X-Ray. I'm looking forward to learning a lot here and engaging with this wonderful (seems so) community. Cheers!
As requested, I post in here as well to get my account approved. I have been working in the video game industry for 10 years and seaking some help with 3dsmax that i now have to learn!
Hello there, I'm not really what you would call a game artist yet, as I'm totally new to modelling ! I'm an art student in Nice, France, and hope to learn a lot from you guys in the future
I'm a recent grad and I'm hoping to us you guys as my sound board for critiques. I don't mind a bash or two but please be specific about what you don't like and why.:poly124:
I'm a sheep within the Dota 2 crowd. However I've been at a 3D animation course for over a year now. So joining a community was bound to happen. I generally deal with Maya and Zbrush.
Hello polycount users. My name is Brandon Mayeski. I recently graduated from the Art Institute of Califronia - San Diego in Game Art & Design. I interned at SOE working on the EverQuest 2 team for about 3 months creating a gnome furniture set for their in-house items. I am eagerly looking for methods to improve my capabilities and find a job in the industry. Thanks!
Hello, I am interested in working with both programming and art. I'm looking to possibly work with other people on potential projects online. I have little experience with all of the knowledge that surrounds 3D art and texturing, but I will try to learn as much as I can!
Im Dan, a digital artist from the UK. I signed up a while ago but found it quite daunting and intimidating the fact that people are so much better than me, but after growing up a bit and realising how to improve myself and hopefully help others that this is the best thing i could possibly do.
Again hello! and i look forward to seeing everyone works and having everything rip mine to pieces so i can get better
Hi, long time lurker thought I had an account already but I did´t so now I have.
I have been doing 3D on and off for about 10-12 years but I´m still a beginner and especially with game modeling but I hope that will change.

Hi, I just made an account to enter the Dota 2 polycount contest. I've been interested in going into modeling before this (specifically Dota 2), but was intimidated by all the different programs, and my lack of knowledge. The start of this contest seemed like a great way for me to get into modeling and hopefully learn a thing or two.

As above, long time lurker, now i wanna participate in comunity.

any tips are much appreciated
Have a nice day.
Just got to know this forum from the recent contest on Dota 2. Glad to see nice community here, time to revive my interest in 3D modelling.
The Dota2 blog led me here and I had to register, but I think I'll visit this page more often
I've been lurking for quite a while and figured it was about time to contribute.
I've been lurking these forums for a long time. Decided it was time to register:) Hopefully I'll be able to enter into the DOTA 2 contest.
