Hi all -- just wanted to make my quick new member introduction. I've read tons of threads on this site over the last year or two, trying to get more familiar with 3D modeling and game design. I'm joining now to try my hand at participating in the Dota 2 contest -- even if it's a little soon to think I'd make anything competitive, I'm still hoping to learn some valuable skills along the way.
Thanks, polycount, for helping to run that fantastic contest.
Heyo Polycount! Ive been a long time observer and admirer of Polycount and thought its high time I joined the ranks. Hoping to get feedback, encouragement, and to network.
Hello Adam. I have read through the rules, and will be sure to follow them. I was supposed to make my first post here. Really glad to be a part of poly count now.

Hello there Polycount!
I'm an animator (or at least want to become one). I mainly signed up because of the awesome 20min Speedanimation thread and hope to meet some other animators who make games.
cheers
forgive me for being somewhat new to the threaded discussions, i thought i already replied to finish my membership, but maybe i have not. anywho, i am a 3d artist like most people here, my modeling skills are strong, texturing, rigging, animating, every other aspect needs a lot of help so i am here to learn what i can to get moving in the right direction.

Hi,
actually just registered because of the dota2 contest.
I do not have much experience in modelling, but I figured once I have this would be a great place to show off stuff and get feedback.
Heyo, doing my first post thingy. I've been checking out lots of the work done on here since I started being a 3D student just over a year ago but finally a member so I can do the dota2 challenge
Hey Polycount community, signed up to take part in the DotA2 competition with a friend, can't wait to get the WIP thread up and running. Approve me please admins.
thanks for the opportunity to join the Polycount community. It was recommended by Valve as a great place to learn about 3D modelling. It appealed to me due to its clean design and organization.
It is my goal to learn how to model 3D objects using a computer. I am going to join the Polycount Dota 2 contest as a motivation to learn fast.
I am grateful for any advice about how to get started.
