its hard to say, but it almost feels like these guns are going to throw off his balance. Your guy feels like a front line kinda guy so something that shoots allot but is light and maybe even can melee with... rest of the competition im going to have to question how my guy would fight your badace.
your right suicidecrotchshot (and what a name) might be a good idea to integrate some sort of melee function to the weapon, gonna play with some ideas.
I like the rounded shaped from C, but it is a little too fat for your streamlined character imo. If you combined C's shapes with D's silhouette it'd rock. That is, of course, if you do not go with the obvious choice -- E.
HAHAHA... I am a huge fan of #E. I would love to see that guy get about with a huge pair of dress makers scissors. ACE. Good work man looking sweet as.
i haven't been very productive these past couple days, got back to work on the model earlier this afternoon and got the thighs in:
considering changing to backward knees, gonna play with both, got a very cool idea for backward knees though.
im most likely gonna go with D for the gun then although i'd also like to merge the idea of the cylinders from B into it somehow.
the back of the model isn't necessarily a "mess", just nothing really interesting at the moment, wanna model some more back there and then i'll show a nice shot
Lovely. I like how the light and dark parts make its shape distinguishable even when you squint. I'm just a tad concerned about the eyes; it's hard to make out that there are four from a distance, because they seem like two longer eyes at a glance. If I were you, I'd try to put the second set of eyes a bit more to the back and maybe make them all a bit larger - just a notch, mind you. Anyway, great work. I'm jealous.
haven't done alot, playing with some leg proportions mostly and im happy with this, spent most of the time moving some stuff around and switching back and forth from normal to backward knees gonna go with this general shape, also i wanna keep the ankles relatively thin to not make the legs look too awkward in comparison to the arms (now im talking gibberish! heh )
..
..hmm, i wish i could import images into alchemy and draw over them
might I suggest longer legs? he looks a little stumpy. i think he would benefit quite a bit if you lengthened that last part on his leg, right before the foot. go go gadget gun! sweet stuff :P
dude the surfaces are great! but i think like said below the legs could be a bit longer and while i agree you dont want to break the contrast with the wrists, i dont feel like the ankles as they are now could support him. i think the shoulders could be a tiny bit broader too. good update this time tho u have gotten alot done!
I kinda like the stumpy legs... Gives him neat proportions, and something different from all the super tall, slender, spindly robots you usually see. Really cool take on a robot. I love it!
it was however my intention that the legs would look a little stumpy, not sure if I've overdone it though, i'll take another look at it, thanks for the crit.

these are barely even touched, its kind of just like the front plate of the shin and nothing else, the reason i even showed it in the last shot was to finalize the top and bottom of the model, it will be much thicker when complete.
i do however want the shins to be considerably thinner than the upper leg, kind of like those weird WW2 German uniform leggings
mayby make right arm a little smaller like this? also would be cool with some kind of turbine or something on the back of the cylinder to make it clearer that it "floats" in the air.
yea i was positive that u wern't done with the ankles since the rest of it is so excellent atm. i really dig the nazi pants style for the legs idea very interesting. also i think this has probably been stated 2 dozen times by now, but that right claw is super nasty, looks terriffic!

can't wait to see those scissors ... er ... D on there. This is going to look so badass > : )
hope you can capture all the details in the bake
I hope you will be able to beat him.
I agree about the eyes though, I initially didn't realise it was four eyes. Or maybe having two of them on the end of small stalks could work?
Either way, this is still one of my favourites.
this guy will surely finish in the top entries, keep it up!

Will be interesting to see how you plan to pose it.
Sorry for being of topic, but your models are immense !

Can we see some shots of the back?
!observe, this is not JFletcher posting!
