Here is my first try ever in Mudbox, took about 30 minutes. Found out I need a faster computer, this thing runs at like 3 frames per second when mesh is subdivided more then 3 times.
Hey all, long time lurker here. I'm kinda breaking the rules on this thread since this isn't a mudbox sculpt and it took longer then an hour, but its not really a finished enough piece to make a new thread for. Anyway this is a head sculpt inspired by the heavy guy from TF2 (which needs to be released soon argggh). First shot is after some poly painting, second shot is a skin shader I made and the red wax shader. Anyway, ZB3 is amazing for anyone wondering! All shots are in the real time view port (real time shadows are great), slight blur added on the first image in PS.
Looks cool, Venain. Like a caricature of Tito Ortiz. Here's my first try at sculpting, Arsh's bust, mudbox, about 45 mins. Just trying to figure out the program.
had to do some random head too, zbrush still feels kinda odd to me, don't know what it is but its more like work, while mudbox always appeard to be fun. well at least to me, can't describe it
but nevertheless it's a great app and has qzute a lot of helpfull features
some questions: Is there something like edge distance? I really hate to mask the upper lip and always have to clean the lower lip before tweaking it. thats why the lips so damn much suck.
is that a real perspective? it's still behaves kinda strange o.O
just practicing, it's a leech with little stubby mud caked legs
Needs to get some texture works (as in bumpy look) on it for it to look right, methinks
Just got zbrush 3 tonight, and its amazing. I have never used zbrush before and I am very impressed. I love the workflow and everything about it. Sad to say its deffinetly going to replace mudbox(I absolutely love mudbox) for the most part. It's a shame mudbox can not render as much polys as effeciently as zbrush does.
