sweet model warby, but I agree the feet feel weak. Also, the texture looks like a good base, but needs that top couple layers of detail still, some area seem too smooth/clean. You get golf claps for now, but that could become a roaring applause if you play your cards right.
If you could wear out he edges on the spider tank, would really make it look like a tank...it looks more like a 'bot as bots tend to be clean and tanks tend to be in use more often.
It's real nice though. The only other type of spider tank I saw before was the Harvester from Quake 4.

Got to playing around with lights last night as they appy to shapes (ie ; lightsabre or neon tubes) I want to come up with a standard solution and keep it as a file that way I don't have to recreate anything else except the shapes...still W.I.P.

Interestingly, I've heard that even ILM does their lightsabers as a 2D effect in their compositing package, tracked onto the sticks the actors are fighting with, rather than doing it in 3D.

Yep. In the early days of course they didn't have 3d programs. They showed how the actors worked with lights inside sloted tubes, filmed and then essentially painted over on film. We also have Star Wars to thank for Blue Screen photography which many years later became green screen and ultimately...bullet time. Now of course, bullet time is cliche, but the rest of the technology is expected in film.
After a long, lazy hiatus. I'm doing stuff, except this time I'll texture it. Should be fun with a nice big texture. This is a first pass normal map with some poop added, and the geo isn't final either. NOTHING IS FINAL.
Johny, the face likeness is (still) awesome, but he looks really short and wide to me - I know Keifer Sutherland isn't the tallest guy in the world, but I'm pretty sure he has a longer torso and legs than you've given him there. Or maybe just less wide, or a mix of both those issues. Nice stuff though!

Do you mean you paint it on or is there something trickier you're doing?

Hello polycount.
Hope you recognize it.
nope, what's that?
I've recently re-read the Killing Joke, and I really dug the Joker teaser for the new flick with the Chelsea grin, so I just threw that in there.
G'night
an old model I recently picked back up to mess around with.
Love it, man!

as for me :
i decided to pick up a VERY old model and fix some stuff on it , the old version is on my cgsociety link so i tried to make it look less crap.
Meanwhile, I'm making a (really slow) mockery of psp specification art right now:
I'll post up a less gruesome/more legged update someday.
Glad to see your'e going back to jack, it's looking awesome so far!
my crits - his legs goes too in "X" and could be a little bit longer.
heres another WIP of my c96 Mauser. Re-worked the diffuse, and spec. map, and also worked on the lighting a lot. Let me know what you think.
