Kat - thanks for the feedback. I am going to try it at 1024 x 1024 and at 512 x 512. I will look into redoing the hydraulics. Something more like a quad atv style. Even if they don't lose definition in the normal map I now think they just look to weak.
First ever real try at a head in zbrush. Not quite sure how to do the eyes and mouth, but for 30 minutes I'm happy enough. Learned some sculpting stuff too.
Cheap: It's certainly not going to be just grey, I'm just sketching in shapes and volumes for the armour at the moment.
Vassago: Nah, bits of photosourcing in there as a base, but the majority is painted.
I did a 100% painted one yesterday night but I didn't like where it was going so I reworked it this evening.

Feels good to finally release some of that creativity. A few weeks ago I couldn't even model the base mesh.

Changed up the shocks. Still going to add inset handles for access panels, vented or wire cage panels for exposed shocks, inset screws for walk way.
Anway, almost done with the raiden model, needs a bunch of editing cause its not reading ninja raiden to me yet.

The size is okay, actually. But when running an actual weld, you should be making a small circular motion as you run the bead.
