I was just kidding dizZy Walnut, I recognised Bruce Willis straight away. Yeah I have tried his likness before, quite tough to get right.
My skin shader is a realtime shader. just used the oren nayar blinn material in max.
Turn on direct x , then have a single spotlight, a bit overbright.
its quite nice to fiddle around with, the roughness value in particular.
For my skinning I hand paint the base tones then overlay a few photo textures, but I used them sparingly.
All the major details for my diffuse are taken from my high res head in zbrush in the form of a cavity map or overlaying the blue channel from an object space map
Hey guys, for school i had to draw a cylindrical projection of the eart (a map). I really enjoyed it and found that it is really a lot like uv mapping, so i figured that if i'd align the uv's of a sphere with the lines on my map, i'd get a perfect globe :P
so i did so really quickly and this is how it turned out:
the way we did the (very simple) projection:
and this is how it turned out:
obviously it isn't a very good way of uv mapping a sphere, there is a lot of stretching going on, and the tops can't even be projected.
RUZ -
thank You for the tips.
( I've knew = supposed that You were kidding )
My Mr.B.W. is early W.I.P - there's still lots of work.
When I will be sure at 99% of B.W.'s shapes - this mesh will go for ZBRUSHING.
(I keep all the saves of my progres in "box modeling" -it will be cool .GIF)
That's some awesome looking anatomy rooster, it doesn't look that tame to me. Although a tail, some horns and claws could make it a bit less man with a lizard mask on and more lizard.
Seriosly, Rob. Love your sketches. Keep them coming. It would be great to see some of the guys on these boards take a swing at modeling some of your concepts.
@dizzywalnut
Good likeness!
What´s up with the weird smoothing groups tho?
@darksun
His cranium looks huuuge.
Nice work tho!
I think you could get rid a some lines without loosing any form.
Any reason why you kept it strictly quads?
@newman3d
Very nice work!
I´m missing the long bandana tho.
Something I started 2 days ago...just picked it up again.
