That's my final result for the #ZBCItaliaQuarantineContest
The main focus of the contest was choose a concept/sketch from Baldi Konijn and do something just for fun, everything was allowed, even just a bust!
I tried something new with this piece like the outline + specular map, and I really liked how it turned out, so I decided to summarize everything in a little "breakdown" (if we can call so) just to not forget what I did, I hope it helps someone out here! Trying something new ie poncho style
trying to get as little in the way of seams at the shoulder as possible. could add some internal lines if visual seams are required at the shoulder.
The idea here is to get a natural transition from arm to torso for a good zbrush base. i am not really interested in making patterns, just getting a good sculpting base
I always have problems in the shoulder area normally and this helps I feel, but it's just another lockdown experiment really
The extra points are for the collar attachments, but I actually could add the collar as 1 piece also and totally eradicate the seams( except internal seams for folding)
hey in theory you could make an entire cloth human from 1 piece which would be a bit creepy TBH

Hey rollin , i am up for that as soon as I figure it all out. The hardest part is getting the damn thing to behave properly
I am still struggling on collars a bit and after that will go for the more advanced stuff
I hope to come back to this project over the summer as I am learning Houdini and it will be a good opportunity to clean up the topology, rigging and animation.
