Working on a Dark Forces inspired 3rd Person Shooter in Unity. Just got cheap-ass-mobile-friendly reflections working, with blurry reflection Occluders as well! This is 8 draw calls for the whole scene, because I'm shooting for super quick mobile rendering. Also, I really like the Unity Lightmapper... It's really quick and yields really neat results with a very minor time input.
I like this a lot and would like to have some info on your solution for fast reflections /occluders is it fully custom?
Spent 4 hours modelling this little bust today, then an additional 30 minutes making a very basic polypaint block out
Any critique is much appreciated as always
I just finished part 2 of the Space Golem Bust series. I'll be going over my process for hand painting textures for various materials such as rock, metal, glows and plastic in 3DCoat. Thanks for checking it out!
This is a project for my senior year, sort of a sci fi war room. Any thoughts and crits are accepted! Link to video below. There are moving parts so figured this would be a simple way to post.
This is a project I am undertaking to practice my skills and to hopefully learn something new.
Any C&C would be greatly appreciated. I am at an early stage at the moment but I spent some time getting the normal map to work the way I wanted for the locker.
I am going a realistic look using as low poly as possible.
Hey Makkon, great work, I'm so happy you are taking this cool character to 3D.
I saw this over tumblr this morning and I think you can take this model a little bit further. Hope you don't mind the overpaint:
The main problem I'm seeing here is silhouette, a thing that you master in 2D but in 3D is a little bit... bland? Try to think more in 2D even when you are doing 3D. Anyhow, this is going to be amazing when finished

Thanks, yeah! So it's just upsidedown geo with pre-blurred textures on it. I've got it on all the android devices I own, and it runs at 60FPS on all of them - from the S4/S5 to the DragonTouch Y88X that I bought off amazon for $50.
Here's a link to the webplayer demo, and some new shots of it on-Device. http://www.hedfiles.net/DFMobile/DFMobile.html

Working on this today - taking design cues from the original anime, sculpted figure (released about a year ago) and my own stylistic choices. Hope to have all but the arm and leg segments (hands and feet too I guess) done today. Early days still.
The work and wips on this thread are incredible, I must say. I am really humbled

Is there any context for this image? Did you make all of these? For what? Fun?

Browser screenshot of my progress. Only rocks texture is showing, but I've also started blocking in the colours and shapes for the leaf and feathers!

Chest (Low-Poly with 4096 normal and AO Map (will be downscaled to 2048 once finished)).
Rendered in 3DO

Started this quite a while ago. It's female head study in ZBrush.
And I just finished this little game I made in Unity. <-- open the link to play
For shits and giggles
I just realized that I never posted my finished image for Count Doom on here. Fixing that now.
