trying out a little test, using multiple layers of geometry for transparent skin showing bone underneath. Did quick vertex colour then Screenshots from toolbag2.

Made some changes to Finn to better reflect how he looked in the film. Filled out his face a little bit, darkened the jacket and skin, scaled the lightsaber, and played with the spec and gloss a bit. View my artstation @ https://www.artstation.com/artwork/3brB2
Decided to re-texture an old piece from scratch with substance, was a neat exercise as i found some things i didn't know how to do yet in substance painter. Going to bring it into UE4 for some particle effects next.
